Kevin gets a secret admirer and what makes this a little different is that he and Kevin are both gay. For some reason Veronica sure has a lot of interest in Kevin. She knows hes gay so why the attention. The fashions for Kevin and Veronica are all fablous. Veronica is gorgeous throughout the issue and Kevin is handsome. Kevin is going to the Prom but with his secret admirer who he has no idea who they are. It adds some mystery to the story. It also builds suspense. Kevin is such a great character he is sensative, caring and loving. Him being gay is more or less just a side issue. His personality makes him shine.
Title: Kevin Keller # 3 Publisher: Archie Comics Script: Dan Parent Pencils: Dan Parent Inks: Rich Koslowski Letters: Jack Morelli Colors: Digikore Studios Price: $ 2.99 US/Can Rating: 4 out of 5 stars Website: www.archiecomics.com Comments: Kevin is the new lifeguard on the beach. All the girls think he is so cute. The artwork does show off Kevin and all the characters in some wonderful poses and art. There are a lot of snide remarks refering to Kevin's sexuality. He is shown handling it very well and maturely. It is nice to see even Cheryl Blossom does not agree with homophobic remarks. It is sad that people will make fun of others just because they are different. Just because their beliefs do not match their own. It is though great to see people sticking up for others and standing by their friends. Kevin Keller is a great addition to the Archie Universe.
Title: Kevin Keller # 4 Publisher: Archie Comics Script: Dan Parent Pencils: Dan Parent Inks: Rich Koslowski Letters: Jack Morelli Colors: Digikore Studios Price: $ 2.99 US/Can Rating: 4 out of 5 stars Website: www.archiecomics.com Comments: This issue features the Olympics. Kevin's dad is going to be a torchbearer. Kevin and his family get to travel to England and Veronica being her usual self pushes herself in. It is something to see the friendship between Kevin and Veronica. Kevin being gay is not affected by Veronica's obvious chams. He does though bring out the best in her as a friend. Veronica dresses for the Olypmics and does her outfit make her stand out. It does look amazing on her though. It does though create problems for Kevin as he takes over running with the torch for his dad. Veronica just wants to be helpfull but her dress has other ideas. Veronica's broken right ankle somehow mysteriously turns into a broken left ankle by the end of the comic. It is just plain fun to follow along with Veronica and Kevin.
Title: Kevin Keller # 5 Publisher: Archie Comics Script: Dan Parent Pencils: Dan Parent Inks: Rich Koslowski Letters: Jack Morelli Colors: Digikore Studios Price: $ 2.99 US/Can Rating: 4 out of 5 stars Website: www.archiecomics.com Comments: Kevin borrows his mom's car and has to drop all the fa,ily off at various places. Kevin does need his own car and he gets one sort of. Kevin is excited and happy to have has own wheels. The gang work on making his wheels the coolest around. So to celebrate he takes his b/f Todd on a date. With a jeep full of Dilton's gadgets it is one interesting date and one very unique jeep. Veronica seems to be very interested in Kevin. Maybe because he is one guy she can not have. Veronica is always so sweet to Kevin. The story focuses on how great a guy Kevin is and all the wonderful friends he has. Kevin is illustrated along with everyone one else as a clean cute person. The art is cute as it shows off these wonderful characters.
Title: Kevin Keller # 6 Publisher: Archie Comics Story: Dan Parent Pencils: Dan Parent Inks: Rich Koslowski Letters: Jack Morelli Colors: Digikore Studios Price: $ 2.99 US/Can Rating: 4 out of 5 stars Website: www.archiecomics.com Comments: "by George!" The school class has to give reports on who inspired them the most. Veronica picks Kim Kardashian. The rest of the gang pick ones that match their characters. Kevin picks George Takei. George did not have it easy as a child. George's life changed in 1965 when he was cast in Star Trek. George is also famous for coming out as gay. He is an inspiring person. The first thing George says in the comic is "Oh, My!". It is so fitting even if it is expected. Tolerance, eguality and diversity are all important things to George and Kevin and they should be to everyone. No matter what a persons sexuality they still deserve to be treated just like anyone else.
Title: Kevin Keller # 7 Publisher: Archie Comics Story: Dan Parent Pencils: Dan Parent Inks: Rich Koslowski Letters: Jack Morelli Colors: Digikore Studios Price: $ 2.99 US/Can Rating: 4 out of 5 stars Website: www.archiecomics.com Comments: The art is clear, clean and fun showing off the Riverdale gang. Kevin turns down pizza and comics he must be in love. We see here that some people are just not comfortable with others knowing they are gay. All because people judge them for it and its wrong. It makes people go against their natural nature and not be themselves. Kevin comes across as such a great guy. His taste in boyfriends is great to. It is sad when people cannot be accepted for who they are. It is also nice to see when some people accept them for who they are and are supportive. Kevin Keller is one great guy and his sexuality makes no difference in that.
Title: Kevin Keller # 8 Publisher: Archie Comics Story: Dan Parent Pencils: Bill Galvan Inks: Rich Koslowski Letters: Jack Morelli Colors: Digikore Studios Price: $ 2.99 US/Can Rating: 3 out of 5 stars Website: www.archiecomics.com Comments: Kevin and Devon are a couple now and Paul who had a crush on Kevin is his friend. Devon though shows signs of jealousy. Veronica is producing a high school play for the drama club. Veronica does like to be in charge. Veronica wrote the play herself and it is not historically correct to say the least. It is wonderful to see Kevin stick up for himself. He is full of confidence in himself and that is not a bad thing. The relationship between Kevin and Devon stays strong. Kevin shows that he is a caring individual and forgiving. The art work is nice and colorful and has a friendly appeal. The gay issue is brought up and handled in a respectable way.
