Comments: The Rat Queens are five women mercenaries for hire. Braga is big and strong, Hannah is into magic, Violet she has a sword, Betty loves sex and Dee she who dresses in purple and can heal.
The Rat Queens make up a varied and unique group of women. Now there is also a Cat Kings which are the most ridiculous looking group of male mercenaries ever.
Milton the Gut Merchant he is weird.
The story needs to introduce the characters better and their personalities and abilities.
The art is well done but could show off the females wiles better and more action is needed. The bear is illustrated as an amazing creature.
The Rat Queens are female warriors of wonder.

Comments: The Rat Queens are fighting one huge bird. Betty has a interesting spot to be in for the battle.
After the battle its a nice quiet sit down at the local bar. Just girls sitting around chatting.
The Queens visit a graveyard and Hannah tries out her magic. Now the Rat Queens find themselves in a fight against zombies.
Another group shows up and they are weird, strange and awesomely drawn. The Queens do have a way of getting themselves into trouble.
The backup story is written by Patrick Rothfuss, art by Nate Taylor and lettered by Ryan Ferrier.
The Rat Queens have a guest at their fire and he narrates a tale to entertain. Betty has a fine time with her imagination here. The art goes from very well done to amateurish. The story does mislead you and than leads you to what is really happening. It is interesting to follow it.

Comments: The Rat Queens meet another a group the Chorus and they are cult hunters. They are good maybe better than the Rat Queens at fighting. One of there team wearing glasses, modern day glasses.
The Rat Queens get a Quest and are off to find grapes. They see a Centaur that is not a Centaur. They face many dangers that are glossed over. So not much action. Most of the story is just the Rat Queens walking.
"Whackball" So the boys play beach volley ball while the girls watch. That is the whole story. The muscles are drawn well on the guys who are dressed in modern day bathing suits.
The Rat Queens need to see action and get into fights. They are warriors and that aspect of them needs to be used.

Comments: Vi and Gary are sister and brother and each has their own team. So both teams end up on a Quest together, a team-up. As they find a crypt Gary and his team leave. The Rat Queens are on their own.
Within the crypt they find strange and wondrous things. They have fun facing death and doing the unconventional. It leads them to somewhere, not where they were expecting.
The art could and should be showing off these girls way better. Not just sexual but in good poses. Action poses would be great to see. This issue does need more action.
"Rat Queens, Inc." This is acute two page funny short. Vi and Dee have a work issue to work out.

Comments: The art style is pasty like a pastel drawing.
Betty has a unique personality one that is endearing. She is a thief, rogue and adventurer.
The girls find a fish man within the crypt they are exploring. The art on this fish man is spectacular. He is drawn as a weird creature that does not inspire much fear. The coloring on him just how you would expect this fish man to be.
There is some nice humor in this issue.
All the members of the Rat Queens pick up some presents for themselves in the underground crypt.
The story just ends.
The Rat Queens are a wonderful team of adventurers they just need to be used a lot better and shown off in better art. They need to be shown acting as more of a team to. They do show that they care about each other.
