Comments: A whaling ship catches a big surprise. Frankenstein's monster is a grotesque monstrosity filled with rage as he emerges from the waters of the Antarctica.
The Whalers are killers but here they meet another killer. It does get gory. The monster than encounters a vessel that tries to stop whalers.
Now in Silver Springs, Maryland is where the Lab is. Its where the monster is heading and where Dr. Baker will be heading once she is convinced to go. She is a scientist or alchemist.
Now Dr. Baker might she had a son and she is a scientist and this is a story about Frankenstein's monster. You can kind of see where it is going.
Dr. Baker is one awesome character she brings to mind Dr. Frankenstein's character immediately.
The monster is a terrifying creature. It is also a nice calm man. It all depends on whether your a good person or not.
This story is a great take about the monster and it stays true to the original concept.

Comments: A couple mercenaries catch Dr. Frankenstein's monster coming across the border from Mexico. They do not fare well.
Meanwhile two field agents find Dr. Baker. She is drawn amazing and does present a mad doctor look with intellect. Her presence is strongly felt. We also get a look at her son. He is something else.
The original Dr. Frankenstein's monster is not used enough here. The story mostly focuses on the two agents.
Seeing the son of Dr. Baker who is the new improved and updated model for Dr. Frankenstein's monster is actually done pretty nicely just it is so short.
Dr. Frankenstein's monster is illustrated as a big man with a frightening appearance. Not really monstrous though.

Comments: We see Dr. Baker and her son before something happened to him. Now in the present his mother controls her son and he is much more than he was. Dr. Baker is shown with a superior attitude one which is deserved. This Dr. will do whatever it takes to protect her son. She can be and is a evil little thing if need be.
As the Dr and her son await the Bride they get something else entirely.
Seeing both the old and new version's of Frankenstein's monster is interesting and seeing all the differences. One an older style and the other a newer more updated version.
Dr. Baker though steals the show her character is one that can not be ignored. This woman is in charge.

Comments: Akai the new Frankenstein's Monster faces the original one.
We get more of a look at the events that led up to Dr. Baker being where she now is.
While the two Frankenstein Monsters face each other Dr. Baker's other creation shows up, the Bride.
Dr. Josephine Baker is one outstanding woman. She is intelligent, loving, and ready to act as in going all out to protect her son. Dr. Baker does steal the show and spot light.
The art does do a good job of showing off the monsters. All three of them have aspects that make them frightening. Frankenstein's Monster will scare you.

Comments: Akai is constantly in a state of decay. The nanobots within him are constantly rebuilding him. Akai may be a new life form emerging but he is also a boy. Dr. Baker is his mother and she created him and loves him. Akai is her son.
The original Frankenstein's monster is intelligent. He is more than just intelligent he is now extremely smart and very hard to fool.
The Bride is one huge hulking monstrous robotic creation. So there are three monsters in this story and all of them have been used and been abused somehow or another.
The story could use more clarity. There are a lot of players on the field and it would be nice to know who they all are and what their goal is.
The original Frankenstein's monster is shown briefly but he does steal the show. He is monstrous yet you will feel for him and for Akai as well. They are alone in this world yet they want to belong, they want to be loved.

Comments: A family is reunited. Akai and his mother and father are all together. Akai is the new Frankenstein's monster, his mother Dr. Josephine Baker his creator and the father is a big hulking cyborg robot called The Bride. It is quite the family reunion.
Josephine has a beautifully designed outfit. The Bride as well looking amazing as a cyborg robot designed for killing.
The original Frankenstein monster is attacking the new version. Well things are not always as they seem as to who is right and who is wrong.
Racism is brought into the story. Yes the new Frankenstein's monster is dark skinned and so were his parents. Not sure what it has to do with the story though or why it is pointed out right at the end.
When the two Frankenstein monsters do battle Akai comes up with a unique way to fight back. This is something new that has never been tried before. It is well worth seeing.
