Title: Praetorian (Graphic Novel)
Publisher: Outlaw Entertainment
Writer: Jason M. Burns
Artist: Ramon Espinosa
Price: $ 7.99 US
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
Comments: Rodriguez and Petrillo seem to be a comedy team as she insults him and he plays the straight man. They are actual police detectives not that you could tell by their lack of professionalism. That is though part of Rodriguez's charms.
Rodriguez is portayed as a tough woman with an attitude. She also has a nose for sniffing out the bad guys. Violent crimes are being committed its her job to solve them. She is all business and goes right to it. Her attitude though makes her a unlikable person even though she is drawn cute.
This story quickly takes a turn into something totally different. It is definitely not your average murder mystery.
In the time of ancient Rome we see the crucifixion of Christ. The Praetorian Guard survive even to today. They were there at the crucifixion and still survive today as does the Judgement Killer. These men with Rodriguez's help plan to bring him down.
The detective team get to do some police work and they do work well as a team.
The art is almost cartoonie in appearance but with the violence its easy to see this is no cartoon.
Professor Julien and Detective Rodriguez have a very intense moment. They are both after the same thing.
Julien is an immortal as well as three others he wants to stop this Judgement Killer and he will stop at nothing to do se. The killer once revealed is a surprise.
The mystery and fantasy mixed with religion makes for an interesting read. There is lots of action as well. Some good art. The story though rolls along nicely it moves so smoothly from one scene to the next. It is an excellent comic.

Title: Imaginary Friends (Graphic Novel)
Publisher: Outlaw Entertainment
Writer: Jason M. Burns
Artist: Dustin Evans
Price: $ 7.99 US
Rating: 5 out of 5 stars
Comments: The International Imaginary Persons Bureau is real and they need Rex an Indiana Jones look alike to handle a rogue imaginary friend who wants more than to just be an imaginary friend. Valentine wants more out of life.
Rex's team is an odd bunch. A kid, a beauty queen, a skeleton and a clown, yes a clown make up the team. The oddest part though is that this team is made up of and lead by people that do not really exist. They even have a man/elk on the team. This is the strangest team of heroes you are ever likely to see. This odd ball team is drawn oddly. They appear as one mismatched group.
As the story advances the little red haired girl is so cute in her actions. She doesn't say a lot but contributes much.
Touring the imaginary world of imaginary friends takes you on a wild ride through a land that only exists in your mind.
The Boogeyman even an imaginary one can be scary. He preys on your fears. He knows what you fear most.
Shift Valentine our villian here is full of surprises. The land of imaginary friends just keeps getting weirder and weirder. You will not see any of tis coming.
The characters are all fun and amuzing to follow along with. The art matches the story telling perfectly. The humor is laced throughout this fantasy adventure. It will hold you, you will not be able to put this down from page one.

Title: Hat Trick (Graphic Novel)
Publisher: Outlaw Entertainment
Writer: Jason M. Burns
Artists: Armando M. Zanker & Joe Jefferson
Price: $ 7.99 US
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
Comments: Ray Kalipino, the Amazing Don Key is a loser through and through. This magician is a failure in life. Ray's uncle leaves him a top hat he was a magician as well as a successful one. The hat is much more than just a hat. Its real magic.
The Magicverse is mind boggling. Its cool and weird and ever so strange beyond comprehension. The characters herein do seem familiar yet different in ways.
The art is cute and artoonie. Its colorful and does bring across the feeling of magic in the air.
The imagination from Jason M. Burns knows no bounds. Who else could think up attack rubber chickens that are monster-sized. This is one crazy Magicverse.
Ray has a legacy to live up to. Can he look within himnself and do it? Does he have what it takes? With motivation maybe.
Kalipino the Magnificant will face Ray Kalipino in a magic duel. Irs father vs son to the death.
Were magic is concerned anything is possible anything at all.
