Comments: "Grandpa Pages" is written by Chris Bunchner, art by Brian brinless, inks by Alex Rivera, tones by Jet Amigo and letters by Matt Mundorf. Grandpa is a nice old guy who anyone would enjoy having as their grandpa. His grand kids are cute and normal teens. Grandpa is the narrator of these tales.
"First In Flight: The Story of Gustave Whitehead" is written by Robert J. Sodaro, with art by Rick Lundeen and lettered by Johnny Lowe. This is the story of Gustave and how he was the first person to fly before the Wright Brothers did. This is actually a true story. The tale is well told and will captivate you as will the art, they both fit perfectly together.
"This Life of Mark Twain's" is written and illustrated by Keith Murphy. Samuel Clemens was a hard working man who lived his life like so many of us do. During that life he wrote many great stories that he will forever be remembered for. This is a nice tribute to a great man. The art shows Samuel Clemens or Mark Twain as a extraordinary man who contributed so much to society.
"George & The Monster" is written by Scott Ludwig with art by Keith Murphy. Aw this is such a cute story. A boy and his imagination are shown here. The art is cute as well. This is one imaginative tale.
"Cuchulainn: How Setanta Was Named" is written by Liam Webb with art by Jim Thorpe. Setanta shows just how athletic he is in games and fighting. The monsterious dog here is illustrated in all its viciousness. This young boy is so full of life he is a joy to behold. The art is nice and simple and beautifully defined.
"Repercussions" is written by dwight Baldwin, with art by J.M. DeSantis and leters by Cary Kelley. Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson go after Jack the Ripper. Wow you will never guess the outcome of this story. Now this is an imaginative tale. Dwight Baldwin definitely lets his imagination go here. This is a beautifully illustrated tale with one shocker ending.
"Of Christmas Past" is written by Johnny Lowe, with art by Seaward Tuthill. This is a heart touching tale about love. The love within a family knows no bounds. It is beautifully illustrated as well. Fred Scrooge and Uncle Ebenezer both fill this story with so much emotion.
"Prometheus And The Fire Of Tomorrow" is written by David Gutierrez & Adam Von Arx, art by Albert Luciano, inks by Alex Rivera and letters by Johnny Lowe. This story is about two friends who are not really friends but just using each other until one is no longer needed.
This is also a story of hope and inspiration. Good art, good stoy make for a great comic.
"John Henry: America's First Superhero" is written by Jesse Toves, art by Gerimi Burleigh and letters by Philip Clark. John Henry was a good man who just wanted more for his family to give them and himself a better life. The art could have been more clear.
This tale is inspiring as well. Men can beat the machines we invent.
"The Life And Death Of Talos The Bronze" has story & art by Rafael Gonzalez and script & letters by Philip Clark. A magical statue guards Crete. He has feeling of love, he just wants to belong as well. The art is a bit to cartoonie at times for this story of ancient Crete. The women though are drawn with a cute sex appeal.
"Outlaws Of Industry" is written by Ryan Markle, art by Paul London, inks by Alex Rivera, letters by Victor Tinajero, tones by Keith Williams and additional edits by Victor Tinajero and Paul London. Unions at first were not readily accepted by bussinesses and even today are still not. They give workers the ability to stand up to the wealthy people that own the companies like a modern day Robin Hood. The story is filled with some nice western style art to.
These stories are filled with a wealth of literary characters.
The friendly old Grandpa narrating them is a wonderful character as well.
This book contains action, romance, adventure, chills and thrills. Within these pages is something for everybody. So open up the cover and come on in.
