Title: Okko: The Cycle of Earth (HC)
Publisher: Archaia

Price: $ 19.99 US
Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

Comments: Okko and his band are traveling to find a brotherhood who use Ravens as their symbols. And find them they do an Eight Monastery.
As the supernatural bursts onto the scene all hell breaks loose and it just gets more thrilling and chilling. The art on these creatures of nightmare is a frightening apparition.
The travelers journey does start to drag on. They are spending way to much time just standing around talking. The scenes are filled with petty little squabbles.
The harsh cold snow and ice scenes are drawn well. The Library as well once discovered is huge and illustrated to show that it is ancient and full of knowledge.
Okko penetrates the lair of the Raven monks. They have a plan which will bring rune to all. They plan for war and are ready to strike. They have an army but so do our heroes. It is a glorious battle. One warrior does come to the front as a true hero.
We needed to learn more about the heroes. Their personalities are shown but who they are where they came from this is not explained at all.
It is nice that the story does not focus on just Okko. It is about all his companions and those he meets. At times it feels as if Okko is just a background character.
The action in battle does get intense.
