Title: Justice League # 0 Publisher: DC Writer: Geoff Johns Artist: Gary Frank Colorist: Brad Anderson Letterer: Nick J. Hapolitano Cover: Frank & Anderson Variant Cover: Ivan Reis, Joe Prado & Rod Reis Price: $ 3.99 US Rating: 3 out of 5 stars Website: www.dccomics.com Comments: Billy Batson meets Shazam for the first time. Billy may not be 100% pure good but he is good at heart. He has the embers of goodness. When he says the word Shazam and means it miracles do happen. Captain Marvel is a powerhouse. A powerhouse with the mind of a 15 year old boy. He has become magic's champion. Billy thought does not get his super-hero name yet. He is also not yet a true hero. He is selfish and plans to use his new powers for personal gain as well as helping people. Billy has the potential to become a hero he is just not there yet.
Title: Justice League # 1 Publisher: DC Writer: Geoff Johns Penciler: Jim Lee Inker: Scott Williams Colorist: Alex Sinclair Letterer: Patrick Brosseau Associate Editor: Rex Ogle Editor: Eddie Berganza Cover: Jim Lee, Scott Williams & Alex Sinclair Variant Cover: David Finch, Richard Friend & Peter Steigerwald Price: $ 3.99 US Rating: 5 out of 5 stars Website: www.dccomics.com Comments: The New 52 JLA starts here. The art is gorgeous as Batman evades the GCPD It is all out action that will get the blood punping. Batman is drawn as a muscular vigilentie. Green Lantern meets Batman for the first time. Batman is all business. GL is illustrated so well is power shines bright. Green Lantern seems unimpressed with Batman having no powers. Well until he sees Batman holding his ring. His respect for Batman goes up. The extraterrestrial wondering around Gotham is from Darkseid. They don't start out small for foes. Green Lantern is really stuck up about being so powerful. Until he meets Superman. These heroes are younger and their costumes are slightly different as well as their origins. They are an updated more youthful group and the team JLA will reflect that as well. DC Comics is making a bold move here and so it is paying off. The New DC is totally amazing.
Title: Justice League # 2 Publisher: DC Writer: Geoff Johns Penciler: Jim Lee Inker: Scott Williams Colorist: Alex Sinclair Letterer: Patrick Brosseau Associate Editor: Rex Ogle Editor: Eddie Berganza Cover: Jim Lee, Scott Williams & Alex Sinclair Variant Cover: Ivan Reis, Andy Lanning & Rod Reis Price: $ 3.99 US Rating: 5 out of 5 stars Website: www.dccomics.com Comments: Superman, Green Lantern and Batman get into a misunderstanding. As usual with super-heroes this leads to a fight. Superman here is more agressive than usual to. He seems to relish a battle more than peace. He seems like a warrior. The art is gorgeous. It is full of action. It is explosive coming right out of the page at you. The big splash pages of art are amazing they are hard to look away from. The Flash is a scarlett streak of excitement as he joins the fray. Which ends quickly. Parademons on Earth so can Darkseid be far behind? We get a look at Victor Stone here as well aka Cyborg in the making. The League is slowly gathering. We just need a few more members. These heroes are similar to what your used to but also different. This world is darker and so are the heroes in it. They still though fight the good fight. They are still heroes.
Title: Justice League # 3 Publisher: DC Writer: Geoff Johns Penciler: Jim Lee Inker: Scott Williams Colorist: Alex Sinclair with Hi-Fi & Gabe Eltaeb Letterer: Patrick Brosseau Associate Editor: Darren Shan Editor: Brian Cunningham Cover: Jim Lee, Scott Williams & Alex Sinclair Variant Cover: Greg Capullo & Lonathan Glapion with FCO Plascencia Price: $ 3.99 US Rating: 5 out of 5 stars Website: www.dccomics.com Comments: Wonder Woman makes her appearance. She is drawn as a warrior in a bathing suit costume with a sword. She wants to fight too. Superman, Green Lantern, Flash and Batman get to face Parademons. These Parademons are a harsh looking creature. The other heroes seem surprised Batman does not have any super powers. The four heroes are in battle than Wonder Woman explodes into the battle. She goes right into the thick of it. The art is beautifully done. Our first look at Darksid brings across his evil and his power. Aquaman as well appears he is arrogant in both look and attitude. This gathering of heroes look like they could handle anything. With Darksid coming they will get that chance. These super-heroes are pure excitement.
Title: Justice League # 4 Publisher: DC Writer: Geoff Johns Penciler: Jim Lee Inker: Scott Williams Colorists: Alex Sinclair & Gabe Eltaeb Letterer: Patrick Brosseau Associate Editor: Darren Shan Editor: Brian Cunningham Cover: Jim Lee, Scott Williams & Alex Sinclair Variant Cover: Andy Kubert with Alex Sinclair Price: $ 3.99 US Rating: 5 out of 5 stars Website: www.dccomics.com Comments: We see the origin of Cyborg here. Also Aquaman meets the rest of the yet to be formed Justice League. He shows Green Lantern and the rest what he can do. The scenes with his gigiantic killer sharks are stunning. The city is being invaded by Para-Demons and where they are Darkseid is sure to follow. Green Lantern is portrayed as a bit of a fool. A fool with a lot of power. When Darkseid appears you will feel doomed. Power and evil combined into one is Darkseid. He is gorgeously illustrated the aura he projects is overwhelming. Darkseid could not be presented better. In both writing and art his presence takes over this comic. Darkseid has come. Let all tremble.
Title: Justice League # 5 Publisher: DC Writer: Geoff Johns Penciler: Jim Lee Inkers: Williams, Hope, Irwin & Weems Colorists: Alex Sinclair & Gabe Eltaeb & Tony Avina Letterer: Patrick Brosseau Associate Editor: Darren Shan Editor: Brian Cunningham Cover: Jim Lee, Scott Williams & Alex Sinclair Variant Cover: Eric Basaldua with Nei Ruffino Price: $ 3.99 US Rating: 4 out of 5 stars Website: www.dccomics.com Comments: We join the battle as Superman and Flash each are attacked by Darkseid. Flash uses his speed powers but also his brain. Superman takes a full hit of the Omega beam. Batman and Green Lantern these two start working together. Batman knows to beat Darkseid they need Superman and they need to work as a team not as individuals. They must become a league. To survive and win they will fight as one. Green Lantern sees this now. The rest are starting to as well. The greatest team of super-heroes is forming. Will they be enough to defeat Darkseid? This issue starts building suspense and excitement.
Title: Justice League # 6 Publisher: DC Writer: Geoff Johns Penciler: Jim Lee Inkers: Scott Williams with Sandra Hope, Batt & Mark Irwin Colorists: Alex Sinclair with Tony Avina & Hi-Fi Letterer: Patrick Brosseau Associate Editor: Darren Shan Editor: Brian Cunningham Cover: Jim Lee, Scott Williams & Alex Sinclair Variant Cover: Ivan Reis & Joe Prado with Rod Reis Price: $ 3.99 US Rating: 4 out of 5 stars Website: www.dccomics.com Comments: Apocalypse is one vile evil looking world. Darkseid its ruler is even more so. He radiates power and fear. The battle against Darksid is brutle. Wonder Woman and Aquaman attack in a most unique way. The most important part here is the way the super-heroes work as a team. Than the public is general accepts them as heroes. The public looks up to them. They have become whether they want it or not the worlds greatest super team. They certainly do mix well and have a diversity of abilities to call on. Now the backup story here which will be continued in the regular series is called "Pandora" and is written by Geoff Johns, artist Carlos D'Anda, colorist Gabe Eltaeb and letterer Sal Cipriano. Both Pandora and the Phantom Stranger are great characters. Gorgeous art in this story and nice suspense building writing. It is wonderful to see the Phantom Stranger.
Title: Justice League # 7 Publisher: DC Writer: Geoff Johns Guest Artist: Gene Ha Guest Colorist: Amy Lyon Letterer: Patrick Brosseau Associate Editor: Darren Shan Editor: Brian Cunningham Cover: Jim Lee, Scott Williams & Alex Sinclair Variant Cover: Ivan Reis & Joe Prado with Rod Reis Price: $ 3.99 US Rating: 4 out of 5 stars Website: www.dccomics.com Comments: The League is assembled. They are great together. The villian here Spore is new and fresh. The battle is cut short though it would have been nice to have had another page or two. Steve Trevor has an interesting relationship and job working with the League. Him and Wonder Woman seem close. This issue focuses on him. Poor guy. Told the woman he loved he loves her, to bad she is out saving the world and not interested in him that way. The League in some ways is like a bunch of children especially Green Lantern and Flash. They argue and fight but realy do like and respect each other so they can get along. They are shown here as a functioning team of the world's greatest super-heroes.
Title: Justice League # 8 Publisher: DC Writer: Geoff Johns Guest Artist: Carlos D'Anda with Ivan Reis & Joe Prado Colorist: Gabe Eltaeb with Alex Sinclair Letterer: Patrick Brosseau Associate Editor: Darren Shan Editor: Brian Cunningham Cover: Jim Lee & Scott Williams with Alex Sinclair Variant Cover: Mike Choi with Marcelo Maidio Price: $ 3.99 US Rating: 3 out of 5 stars Website: www.dccomics.com Comments: Green Arrow is illustrated as a man of action. His costume design is perfect for his character. It does have a nice updated look making him appear more as a commando. The story starts after a battle with Amazo. Why after and not just before? That would have been a great battle to see. But its not here. Green Arrow wants to join the League, he though is not having any luck. He is skilled enough but he has no super powers. And of course being government sposored probably doesn't help. They mention about when the Martian Manhunter was a member of the League but that part of their history has not been shown or explained in these pages. To much is just being mentioned after the fact. So we are left wondering where Green Arrow was sent? Which team is he joining? The art throughout is gorgeous. Just the action is missing and the story is to choppy. Great characters though all around.
Title: Justice League # 9 Publisher: DC Writer: Geoff Johns Penciller: Jim Lee Inker: Scott Williams Colorists: Alex Sinclair with Pete Pantazis & Gage Eltaeb Letterer: Patrick Brosseau Associate Editor: Darren Shan Editor: Brian Cunningham Cover: Jim Lee & Scott Williams with Alex Sinclair Variant Cover: Mike Choi with Marcelo Maidio Price: $ 3.99 US Rating: 3 out of 5 stars Website: www.dccomics.com Comments: We get short brief looks at various characters this issue. As well as the main storyline which is the Key breaking into Arkam Asylum. The Weapons Master decides not to tell Wonder Woman anything. Well that does not work out well for him. Graves is gathering information on the Justice League and its members. He is an old dying man in a suit that gives him power. Power he uses to torture Steve Trevor. He is planning to attack the Justice League but what is his purpose? Why is he doing this? Graves does come across as one fearful villian. His appearance is dark and forbidding. He will make you feel fear. It is great to see the Justice League members working in smaller teams and stil functioning as a smooth team. They are individually all great super-heroes but together they are the Justice League!
Title: Justice League # 10 Publisher: DC Writer: Geoff Johns Penciller: Jim Lee Inkers: Scott Williams, Mark Irwin & Jonathan Glapion Colorists: Alex Sinclair, Gage Eltaeb, Tony Avina & Hifi Letterer: Patrick Brosseau Cover: Lee, Williams & Sinclair Variant Cover: Cully Hamnir Associate Editor: Katie Kubert Editor: Brian Cunningham Price: $ 3.99 US Rating: 3 out of 5 stars Website: www.dccomics.com Comments: The Asuras these Gods tie in with the main villian Graves. They are magnificantly illustrated. The Justice League is a powerful team. Graves though has been working hard to find out their weaknesses. He has found out a lot. Having Superman floating rather than standing on the floor sets him aside from the team. It makes him seem like he thinks hes better than them. This Graves villian knows just how to attack the League. He draws on their weaknesses. This guy is evil in a twisted way and he is illustrated that way to. He is like something from a graveyard.
Title: Justice League # 11 Publisher: DC Writer: Geoff Johns Penciller: Jim Lee Inkers: Scott Williams with Jonathan Glapion Colorists: Alex Sinclair, Gage Eltaeb Letterer: Patrick Brosseau Cover: Lee, Williams & Sinclair Variant Cover: Bryan Hitch and Paul Mounts Associate Editor: Katie Kubert Editor: Brian Cunningham Price: $ 3.99 US Rating: 3 out of 5 stars Website: www.dccomics.com Comments: Graves is a different type of foe he strikes at the Justice League by demoralizing them. Wonder Woman is full of hate for Graves. She wants his head literally. Wonder Woman 's stubborness vs Green Lantern's will power. Well lets just say Diana really kicks his butt. Wonder Woman is illustrated in one hard hitting action packed spread as she kicks Superman and sends him flying. She is shown as a warrior here. The Justice League go to the Valley of Souls to rescue Steve Trevor. The Valley of Souls is a wonderous and scary place. Diana finds something unexpected. It is nice when the team pulls together. Seeing each as an individual is one thing. They are heroes with unique personalities. Combined though they are greater. As a team they are more powerful.
Title: Justice League # 12 Publisher: DC Writer: Geoff Johns Pencils: Jim Lee, Ryan Reis, Joe Prado & David Finch Inkers: Scott Williams, Sandra Hope, Jonathan Glapion, Mark Irwin, Matt Banning, Rob Hunter, Joe Weems, Alex Garner & Trevor Scott Colorists: Alex Sinclair, Gage Eltaeb, Tony Avina, Sonia Oback & Pete Pantazis Letterer: Patrick Brosseau Main and Variant Covers: Jim Lee, Scott Williams & Alex Sinclair Associate Editor: Katie Kubert Editor: Brian Cunningham Price: $ 3.99 US Rating: 3 out of 5 stars Website: www.dccomics.com Comments: The art is gorgeously done and well colored. The super-heroes are drawn and posed as heroes. As the heroes face Graves we see how well they work as a team. Batman leads them and he knows how best to use each ones strengths. As well they act in the best intests of the team. Wonder Woman rushing in to battle is a show of strength. Wonder Woamn and her relationship with Steve Trevor is not a healthy one. She dumped him and she is written as if she does not care at all about how he feels. She comes across as a cold heartless SOB. Wonder Woman and Superman share a moment and a kiss. It is wonderfully illustrated. Two people reaching out for comfort. This issue has the first team member quiting the team as well.
Title: Justice League # 13 Publisher: DC Writer: Geoff Johns Pencils: Tony S. Daniel Inkers: Richard Friend & Batt Colorist: Tomeu Morey Letterer: Patrick Brosseau Cover: Daniel, Friend and Morey Variant Cover: Alex Garner Associate Editor: Katie Kubert Editor: Brian Cunningham Price: $ 3.99 US Rating: 4 out of 5 stars Website: www.dccomics.com Comments: The kiss continues here. Diana though just leaves. Than we get a gorgeous two page spread of Wonder Woman and Cheetah in fierce battle. Both are drawn with detail. Both are beautiful and sexy. Cheetah's beastal animalistic side is illustrated very clearly here. Cyborg is a troubled man yes man not machine. He worries about his humanity. The League seems to have a lot going on internally. Could it cause the League to breakup? Well we do see them working together and helping a fellow member so maybe not. The team is searching to help Cheetah by finding out about the Dagger that gave her her abilities. So they are in the Congo jungle. The Cheetah strikes there and her bite can even cut Superman and do much more. The backup story "On The Outs" is written by Geoff Johns & Jeff Lemire, penciler Brad Walker, inker Drew Hennessy, colorist Jay David Ramos and lettered by Pat Brasseau. Here we focus on Steve Trevor. Green Arrow and Steve are going to deal with threats the League does not with their own League. It is great that Steve is staying in the game. Cheetah makes for one great foe. She is deadly beyond most beings.
Title: Justice League # 14 Publisher: DC Writer: Geoff Johns Pencils: Tony S. Daniel Inkers: Matt Banning & Sandu Florea Colorist: Tomeu Morey Letterer: Dave Sharpe Cover: Tony S. Daniel, Richard Friend and Tomeu Morey Variant Cover: Jason Fabok and Alex Sinclair Associate Editor: Katie Kubert Editor: Brian Cunningham Price: $ 3.99 US Rating: 4 out of 5 stars Website: www.dccomics.com Comments: The Cheetah has attacked Superman and her claws actually cut him. Well her powers are from a Goddess. As Wonder Woman attacks Cheetah it is shown in a drawing with power and beauty. Wonder Woman looks gorgeous and also she looks and acts like a warrior. Wonder Woman's bathing suit bottom in back is getting shorter. Its half way to a thong this issue. Cheetah is at heart evil and she and others have a plan. Her capture is part of the plan. Superman decides to show Wonder Woman who he is. He takes her to Smallville. A small farm town that is full of good people. It is a quiet place, a peaceful place. This is what Superman fights to protect, places and people like this. Why is Batman spying on Superman?
Title: Justice League # 15 Publisher: DC Writer: Geoff Johns Pencils: Ivan Reis Inker: Joe Prado Colorist: Rod Reis Letterer: Dave Sharpe Cover: Ivan Reis, Joe Prado and Rod Reis Variant Cover: Billy Tucci and Hi-Fi Additional Variant Cover: Jim Lee, Scott Williams and Alex Sinclair Associate Editor: Katie Kubert Editor: Brian Cunningham Price: $ 3.99 US Rating: 3 out of 5 stars Website: www.dccomics.com Comments: A ship the U.S.S. Mabus fires missiles and they destroy an under water city and its citizens. You can feel something big is happening. As we see five of the Justice League members you know they are worried. Mera is with Aquaman and she is lovely. She is nicely illustrated and well portrayed. Atlantis has gone to war against the human race , well at least the U.S. The back up story "Shazam" is written by Geoff Johns, artist Gary Frank, colorist Brad Andrerson and letterer Nick J. Napolitano. Shazam and his friend are out walking around and they run into crimes. Shazam or Billy is just a kid who is learning about all the awesome powers he now has. He is thrilled. Well until Black Adam arrives.
Title: Justice League # 16 Publisher: DC Writer: Geoff Johns Pencils: Ivan Reis Inkers: Joe Prado and Ivan Reis Colorist: Rod Reis Letterer: Dave Sharpe Cover: Ivan Reis, Joe Prado and Rod Reis Variant Cover: Langdon Foss and Jose Villarrubla Associate Editor: Katie Kubert Editor: Brian Cunningham Price: $ 3.99 US Rating: 4 out of 5 stars Website: www.dccomics.com Comments: Aquaman is fighting on both sides trying to prevent a war between Atlantis and the surface world. Aquaman though ends up fighting the Justice League. Orm, Aquaman's brother along with the Atlantian army is one impressive sight. their vehicles are impressively drawn. The coloring is gorgeous. Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman and Aquaman are taken by Orm. Cyborg is all that is left. Well until he puts out the call for reinforcements. Orm and Aquaman provide some hard hitting action with the Justice League. The war is on and all will lose.
Title: Justice League # 17 Publisher: DC Writer: Geoff Johns Pencils: Ivan Reis, Paul Pelletier Inkers: Joe Prado, Oclair Albert & Sean Parsons Colorists: Rod Reis with Nathan Eyring Letterer: Nick J. Napolitano Cover: Ivan Reis, Joe Prado and Rod Reis Variant Cover: Steve Skroce and Alex Sinclair Associate Editor: Katie Kubert Senior Editor: Brian Cunningham Price: $ 3.99 US Rating: 4 out of 5 stars Website: www.dccomics.com Comments: Its Atlantis lead by Orm the Ocean Master attacking the surface world and the Justice League with a lot of help from other super-heroes defending it. Orm and Arthur do get into one fearsome battle. These brothers both love Atlantis and want what they think is best for it. Orm is not really a villain just misguided. Aquaman takes back the throne of Atlantic he is King. So the Justice League loses yet another member. Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman and Cyborg are all that remain. A recruitment drive is coming. The Justice League as shown to be strong and powerful, they will protect the innocent and helpless. Lots of action and a great story this issue.
Title: Batgirl # 0 Publisher: DC Writer: Gail Simone Penciler: Ed Benes Inker: Ed Benes Color: Ulises Arreola Letterer: Dave Sharpe Cover: Benes and Arreola Price: $ 2.99 US Rating: 4 out of 5 stars Website: www.dccomics.com Comments: Barbara Gordon is illustrated here as a beautiful, sexy woman. She is shown to as an exceptional woman. This story takes place four years ago. Barbara's face up close is drawn and colored so beautifully, she looks like an angel. Barbara's visit to the police station is definitely not boring. She ends up in a fight for her life and her brother James. Barbara meets Batman for the first time. She sees he is just a man. This is where Barbara first starts to become Batgirl. Harry X was a great test for Barbara. He is evil and sadistic. This is where Batgirl started and she is a fantastic character and addition to the Bat Family.
Title: Batgirl # 1 Publisher: DC Writer: Gail Simone Penciler: Ardian Syaf Inker: Vicente Cifuentes Color: Ulises Arreola Letterer: Dave Sharpe Cover Art: Adam Hughes Price: $ 2.99 US Rating: 5 out of 5 stars Website: www.dccomics.com Comments: Gorgeous poses and beautiful art. Batgirl looks ready for anything and she looks ready to have fun doing it to. The mysterious villian is such a nice touch. Babs is not going to have it easy in this series. The Brisby Killers are a insane bunch of killers. Batgirl is a dynamo is action. The action poses are beautiful to see and a little sexy to. Barbara here was shot by the Joker but here she got better and her body healed. The story is fun with humor mixed in and done really well. The story though does stay serious enough so you realize the danger Batgirl faces. You will also see her body may be healed from the Joker's attack but her mind, well. This series has drama, excitement, thrills and chills and gorgeous art. Babs is back in action!
Title: Batgirl # 2 Publisher: DC Writer: Gail Simone Penciler: Ardian Syaf Inker: Vicente Cifuentes Color: Ulises Arreola Letterer: Dave Sharpe Cover Art: Adam Hughes Price: $ 2.99 US Rating: 5 out of 5 stars Website: www.dccomics.com Comments: Batgirl faces a mysterious figure and she does get over her hesitancy. The mysterious figure though may be to much for a still recovering Batgirl. She is just out of a wheelchair after all. Batgirl and Mirror go a few rounds and its big muscules versus speed and intelligence in a fight. Its close. Mirror is something else and Batgirl is pushed to her limits. Its a great fight. Batgirl is shown as a detective as well. She is not just a bad kick butt kinda gal she is intelligent to. Mirror is a man to be pitied. He had a great tragedy occur in his life and now has become warped because of it. He is a hero who is no longer a hero. Mirror does make a great villian.
Title: Batgirl # 3 Publisher: DC Writer: Gail Simone Penciler: Ardian Syaf Inker: Vicente Cifuentes Color: Ulises Arreola Letterer: Dave Sharpe Cover Art: Adam Hughes Price: $ 2.99 US Rating: 5 out of 5 stars Website: www.dccomics.com Comments: The scene of Batgirl riding a top a train is breath taking. Its exciting, beautiful and sexy. Batgirl is a stunningly beautiful and sexy character in her poses. She also is poortrayed as a thinking hero. This issue we find out Barbara's paralized legs could come back. If you over does it. Well being Batgirl might qualify as over doing it. Watching Dick and Babs flirting with each other is wonderful. The look back at their childhoods together is perfectly done. Batgirl is portayed as one tough redhead. She wants to prove to herself she can handle things on her own. She needs to do this for herself.
Title: Batgirl # 4 Publisher: DC Writer: Gail Simone Penciler: Ardian Syaf Inker: Vicente Cifuentes Color: Ulises Arreola Letterer: Dave Sharpe Cover Art: Adam Hughes Price: $ 2.99 US Rating: 5 out of 5 stars Website: www.dccomics.com Comments: The opening scene of Batgirl in costume in a wheelchair is powerful. It makes you think. Batgirl is drawn in beautiful action. She looks dynamic and explodes off the page into battle. She certainly is sleek and slender and so sexy. Lots of sexual type poses. She is also one good samaritan. It is wonderful to see Batgirl on Christmas Eve doing a good deed. No coal for her. Now Batgirl gets to face Mittor. This villian can fight and he is driven. Batgirl faces a physically stronger opponent and she knows it. So instead of trying to match him in strength she uses her brain. Batgirl is portrayed as she should be. Intelligent and beautiful, skilled in both mind and body.
Title: Batgirl # 5 Publisher: DC Writer: Gail Simone Penciler: Ardian Syaf and Vicentes Cifuentes Inker: Vicente Cifuentes Color: Ulises Arreola Letterer: Dave Sharpe Cover Art: Adam Hughes Price: $ 2.99 US Rating: 4 out of 5 stars Website: www.dccomics.com Comments: The opening scene is stunning. It will take your breath away. Batgirl's pose is so athletic and sexual. The background with bats, the city and bridge far below could not be better. The artists Ardian Syaf and Vicente Cifuentes really out did themselves. The strength and confidence come through as well in this pose of Batgirl. Gretel is a calm cool new villian. One that is still a mystery. She is a cold blooded killer though. The drama is high as Barbara's mother just shows up out of nowhere and wants to re-enter her life. Batgirl is awesome in action. She hits hard and kicks butt. She also has a wonderful snappy repartee. Batgirl is back and better than ever.
Title: Batgirl # 6 Publisher: DC Writer: Gail Simone Penciler: Ardian Syaf Inker: Vicente Cifuentes Color: Ulises Arreola Letterer: Dave Sharpe Cover Art: Adam Hughes Price: $ 2.99 US Rating: 4 out of 5 stars Website: www.dccomics.com Comments: Batgirl is slim and trim in her costume and she moves lithely. The art is gorgeous showcasing her athletic abilities and fighting prowess. Wow Batgirl gets Batman's seal of approval. They end up teaming up here. These two are close. They are family. There is some drama here in Barbara's personal life and crime fighting. Gretel was hurt by a man, shot. Her life destroyed. Batgirl can identify with that. Batgirl doesn't just take Gretel out she tries to help her. Great story and art. Batgirl is such a wonderful character. She has been reborn in this New 52. Batgirl is back and better than ever.
Title: Batgirl # 7 Publisher: DC Writer: Gail Simone Penciler: Ardian Syaf & Alitha Martinez Inker: Vicente Cifuentes Color: Ulises Arreola Letterer: Dave Sharpe Cover Art: Syaf, Cifuentes and Arredla Price: $ 2.99 US Rating: 4 out of 5 stars Website: www.dccomics.com Comments: Barbara is healing in body but her spirit still needs to heal. She is not at one hundred percent fighting ability. Wow what a bomb shell there is a James Jr., Barbara has a brother. This certainly is a surprise. Does Barbara know? Black Canary gives Batgirl a good talking to which she needed. Self pity does not suit Batgirl at all. Batgirl springs into action against Grotesque and his thugs. She is a dynamo in action. A gorgeous sexy one at that. We see here to Batgirl is a lot more than just a pretty face and sexy body. She pushes herself to go beyond her limits. She wants to be back at one hundred percent and she will get there. Her will and determination will allow nothing less.
Title: Batgirl # 8 Publisher: DC Writer: Gail Simone Penciler: Ardian Syaf & Alitha Martinez and Vicente Cifuentes Inker: Vicente Cifuentes and Alitha Martinez Color: Ulises Arreola Letterer: Dave Sharpe Cover Art: Syaf, Cifuentes and Arredla Price: $ 2.99 US Rating: 4 out of 5 stars Website: www.dccomics.com Comments: Batgirl is shown in a dynamic and gorgeous pose as we start things off. Batgirl's face is drawn with confidence but inside she is struggling. Barbara reaches out to her mother. It is a touching scene. Grotesque's battle with Batgirl is short and sweet. She is emotional enough that getting her mad is not smart now. One oh the thugs Danny was there the day Barbara was shot by the Joker. He actually called the police to help her. He may have saved her life. One surprise guest this issue will have you on the edge of your seat.
Title: Batgirl # 9 Publisher: DC Writer: Gail Simone Penciler: Ardian Syaf Inker: Vicente Cifuentes Color: Ulises Arreola Letterer: Dave Sharpe Cover Art: Syaf, Cifuentes and Arredla Price: $ 2.99 US Rating: 4 out of 5 stars Website: www.dccomics.com Comments: Batgirl is attacked by Mary a female Talon whos real name is Ayumi a well armed and trained agent of the Owls. The art is simple gorgeous. The art team here knows how to draw a woman. It is awful to see Commissioner James Gordan sitting in his office afraid to leave or call Batman cause his daughter was threatened. Thankfuly it does not last. While it does though it is so wrong. It just gets under your skin. The Court of Owls really knows how to screw with peoples lives. Gordan is a mess from them and their manipulations. Batgril to protect her dad was willing to go all out even to cross a line that she should not.
Title: Batgirl # 10 Publisher: DC Writer: Gail Simone Penciler: Alitha Martinez Inker: Vicente Cifuentes Color: Ulises Arreola Letterer: Dave Sharpe Cover Art: Adrian Syaf, Vicente Cifuentes and Ulises Arredla Editor: Brian Smith Price: $ 2.99 US Rating: 3 out of 5 stars Website: www.dccomics.com Comments: Batgirl is looking good fighting car thieves. She does seem a bit unsure if it is worth putting them in the hospital to stop them. Batgirl also meets a weird looking and acting security team. There is obviously something up with them. For now though its a mystery. That security detail it turns out are vigilantes and not just ordinary ones. They have powers and they are killers. One on one Batgirl could hold her own or better but four on one. It is great to see Batgirl facing off against villians with powers. Batgirl is also drawn in a few cute/sexy poses. She can kick your butt and look good doing it.
Title: Batgirl # 11 Publisher: DC Writer: Gail Simone Penciler: Ardian Syaf Inker: Vicente Cifuentes Color: Ulises Arreola Letterer: Dave Sharpe Cover Art: Adrian Syaf, Vicente Cifuentes and Ulises Arredla Editor: Brian Smith Price: $ 2.99 US Rating: 3 out of 5 stars Website: www.dccomics.com Comments: Facing four to one odds against super powered villians what does Batgirl do? She asks them who wants their butt kicked first. It is so great to see her filled with confidence. She is also willing to step up her game. Knightfall may be a eighteen but she is tough. She may even be an innocent who was pushed way to hard and broke. Now she and her gang of thugs break others. Batgirl is shown as a caring person. She does just want to help. This villian Knightfall though she is going to be trouble not just for Batgirl but for Gotham. It was nice to see Batgirl fighting super powered villians. Batgirl can hold her own.
Title: Batgirl # 12 Publisher: DC Writer: Gail Simone Penciler: Ardian Syaf Inker: Vicente Cifuentes Color: Ulises Arreola Letterer: Dave Sharpe Cover Art: Stanley "Artgerm" Lau Editor: Brian Smith Price: $ 2.99 US Rating: 4 out of 5 stars Website: www.dccomics.com Comments: The art is exciting and full of action. Batwoman vs Batgirl and Batwoman is a tough as nails fighter. Their battle is short lived. It is though well worth seeing, you will not be disappointed. Nightfall and her friends are vigilanties that go to far. The Disgraced is made up of Katharsis, Bleak Michael and Bonebreaker. Against these odds Batgirl's chances are slim. A cop and Batwoman though even those odds. One thing that stands out here is the fact there are so many females here. Both super-heroes and villians almost all are female. The action does get serious. Knightfall is playing for keeps. She will go to any lengths which we can easily see in the art and writing. This comic is full of hard hitting action that will keep you focused on it.
Title: Batgirl # 13 Publisher: DC Writer: Gail Simone Penciler: Ed Benes Inker: Ed Benes Color: Ulises Arreola Letterer: Dave Sharpe Cover Art: Greg Capullo and FCO Plascencia Editor: Brian Smith Price: $ 2.99 US Rating: 4 out of 5 stars Website: www.dccomics.com Comments: A Death in the Family starts here and the Joker cover is amazing. The Joker is coming. Knightfall and Batgirl are both beautifully illustrated here. Knightfall gets to learn one valuable lession here. Having Batgirl down does not mean out. Batgirl shows her intestinal fortitude here. The art showing Batgirl's face really brings out her emotions and just how hard she is pushing herself. The art also provides some lovely butt shots of both combatants. These girls do hit hard. They look gorgeous and they sure can kick butt.
Title: Batgirl # 14 Publisher: DC Writer: Gail Simone Penciler: Ed Benes AND Daniel Sampere Inker: Vincente Cifuentes and Mark Irwin Color: Ulises Arreola and Kyle Ritter Letterer: Dave Sharpe Cover Art: Ed Benes and Ulises Arredla Editor: Brian Cunningham Price: $ 2.99 US Rating: 4 out of 5 stars Website: www.dccomics.com Comments: Barbara's mom has been taken. Barbara is upset and she is also being controlled. How she is drawn in the art makes it obvious she is far from calm. When the men come for her she is all action. There is no pause. She may not be in costume but she sure looks good. The Joker with his tied on face is a hideous mess. If he looked insane before now he is totally over the top. The Joker is here and he has Batgirl's mother. Batgirl is in a rage and she wants to take down the Joker. This is one strange and shocking story. The Joker proposes and wait till you see how. Why though? What is his insane angle?
Title: Batgirl # 15 Publisher: DC Writer: Gail Simone Penciler: Daniel Sampere Inker: Vincente Cifuentes Color: Ulises Arreola Letterer: Dave Sharpe Cover Art: Ed Benes and Ulises Arredla Editor: Brian Cunningham Price: $ 2.99 US Rating: 4 out of 5 stars Website: www.dccomics.com Comments: The art is simply stunning. This issue really shows just how insane the Joker is. He would hurt and kill anyone just because he felt like it. Batgirl is drawn so dramatic. She is also gorgeous in her skin tight outfit. The Joker's face is pure insanity. The Joker wants to marry Batgirl. He is using her mother as a hostage to get Batgirl to go along. You will start to understand the level of insanity the Joker has reached. This issue goes back to when the Joker was more than just a killer, its when he was a psychotic genesis murderer. The Joker is on a whole neither level when it comes to insanity.
Title: Batgirl # 16 Publisher: DC Writer: Gail Simone Artist: Ed Benes Penciler: Daniel Sampere Inker: Vincente Cifuentes Color: Ulises Arreola Letterer: Dave Sharpe Cover Art: Ed Benes and Ulises Arredla Editor: Brian Cunningham Price: $ 2.99 US Rating: out of 5 stars Website: www.dccomics.com Comments: Joker wants to marry Batgirl. She does look beautiful walking up to the alter. The Joker especially with his tied on face is the picture of insanity. The Joker with a chainsaw is a sight to give you nightmares. Once Batgirl is free to act she is a hard hitting force that will not be stopped. She is a whirling dervish. She shows a viciousness as well. The Joker though he is purely insane with an evil twist. He is just so twisted you can not help yourself from watching him. Batgirl is pushed to her breaking point and beyond. She is a beautiful, sexy crime fighter who can kick your butt. Unfortunately she meets the Joker and James Gordon here. Killer and brother kick her butt. It does just add suspense for when she will come back. Batgirl facing off against Joker is a battle you do not want to miss.
Title: Batgirl # 16 Publisher: DC Writer: Gail Simone Penciler: Daniel Sampere Inker: Vincente Cifuentes Color: Blond Letterer: Dave Sharpe Cover Art: Juan Jose Ryp and Tomeu Morey Editor: Brian Cunningham Price: $ 2.99 US Rating: 4 out of 5 stars Website: www.dccomics.com Comments: Batgirl looks amazing as she moves amidst destruction she is a dark angel of beauty and strength. The police go on a massive raid to catch all the Joker's accomplishes. Batgirl is one hard tough crime fighter. When she acts it is explosive. The art is so dynamic. It jumps right out at you. Firebug makes for a firey villain. He is going to burn the city down. James Gordon is always in the background. He is evil, almost as bad as the Joker in his own way. He is a sick twisted individual. The souvenir he picks up really empathizes that. Batgirl just jumps out at you here.
Title: Batgirl Annual # 1 Publisher: DC Writer: Gail Simone Art: Admira Wijaya Pencils: Daniel Sampere Letterer: Dezi Sienty Cover Art: Ed Benes and Ulises Arreola Price: $ 4.99 US Rating: 3 out of 5 stars Website: www.dccomics.com Comments: Batgirl has her hands full saving people from buildings that have been set on fire. She is shown as a hero here. Catwoman looks amazing in her skin tight black suit. Big breasts and a shapely mound are illustrated on her. The Talon is one tough crazy fighter. She should not be crossed. Batgirl and Catwoman teaming up against Talon assassins. Batgirl uses her knowledge and her wits to turn the battle in her favor. It was a hard hitting and cutting battle. The art here does not have the characters standing out as much as they should from the background. Catwoman shows her true colors. She cares and she is a hero deep down. She does the right thing. A bat, a cat and an owl all get to play together but don't have a whole lot of fun.
