Letter to the Editor
Your newspaper is much needed addition to Cameron Community. I am amazed by your energy to publish "The Cameron Chronicle". Issue # 4. I really appreciated Veteran's Day article in center of issue # 4. I also liked reading about happenings at library. I even liked seeing picture about Village of Cameron employee painting cross walk. I also liked how you mix in state and national news along with Cameron events.
Thank you also for putting my picture in issues 3 and 4. It is an honor to do volunteer work in Barron and Cameron.
I liked giving comic book stories to Cameron library. I also enjoyed giving Cameron citizen shirt from The Kids of Widney High school.
Title: Archie & Friends Double Digest # 10
Publisher: Archie Comics
Price: $ 3.99 US/Can
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
Comments: "Pureheart The Powerful: Mad Doctor Doom's Dupe" with Script by Frank Doyle, Pencils Bob White, Ink & Letters Marty Epp and Colors by Sal Contrera. Evilheart is used by Doctor Doom using Computo to team-up with Evilheart to take on Pureheart. The Archie Comics version of super-heroes are so much fun to follow along with. Superteen aka Betty is a sweet super-hero that is amazing in action.
"Ignorance Is Bliss" is can be so funny at times in his ignorance.
"Behind The Faculty Lounge Door" with Script by Scott Cunningham, Pencils Stan Goldberg, Inking John Lowe, Lettering Jack Morelli and Coloring Barry Grossman. The secret of the lounge is a well kept secret one that not even Archie Andrews can reveal. Archie shows he respects his teachers here.
"Big Moose in Fear Factor" sometimes even the most big and bad of us can be scaried by their imagination.
"Reggie in Trade Charade" by Gladir/Bolling/Lipick/Yoshida/Grossman. Reggie has a way of taking advantage of a person especially Archie.
"Chuck Clayton in The Birdmen Of Riverdale" by Doyle/Bolling/Lapick/Yoshida/Grossman. Dilton's experiment gives Chuck a lift. Dilton may be a genuis but sometimes an accident can be just as brilliant.
"Archie in It Must Be Magic" by Gladir/Goldberg/Esposito/Yoshida/Grossman. The rabbit in this story is very funny to watch. Poor Archie nothing ever seems to go right for him which makes things very entertaining for us.
"Dilton Doiley in The Star" by Gladir/Stone/Yoshida/Grossman. Dilton proves to be a star you don't have to be a top athlete. The art is cute showing off these classic characters.
"Archie's Weird Mysteries" with Script by Paul Castiglia, Pencils Fernando Ruiz, Inking Rich Koslowski, Lettering Vickie Williams and Coloring Stephanie Vozzo. How to capture a Bigfoot. Six lessons on what not to do to catch a Bigfoot and lesson three is forgotten. The rest though are funny. Following this story is another about scary, mysterious noises. Midge and Nancy look cute and sexy cuddling while being afraid of Betty's story. For all the scary noises we may hear there is always a logical explaination for them. Or is there. Next up Archie's laptop goes missing. At least until its found.
"Jughead Litter Bugged" by Gladir/Schwartz. Jughead starts out worrying for no reason at all until he gets a reason. Beautiful art throughout this story.
"Moose in Election Selection" by Gladir/Goldberg/Esposito/Yoshida/Grossman. Moose wants to become Class President. He is though happy to lose to a friend.
"The New Archies in Pool Fools" with Script by Mike Pellowski and Art by Henry Scarpelli. Archie and Reggier try out Veronica's dads new pool table. Poor Archie and Reggie. Its always nice to see them put in their places by a girl. "Betty and Amani in The Eyes Have It" with Scripy & Penciling by Joe Edwards and Inking by Jim DeCarlo. You learn a lesson here about leaving things laying around. This style of art on the Archie characters is just not as good. Amani & Eugene in The Write Way" by Joe Edwards. A list to help you remember things is a good idea only one problem might occur. Read this story to find out what. "Not A Good Skate" with Script by Mike Pellowski, Penciling Henry Scarpelli and Inking HV Eisman. Archie gets some lessons in skating that with Archie you just know are going to end up being exciting.
"Archie in Finder's Fee" a good deed sometimes is its own reward. Archie is one of the good ones and sometimes he gets just what he deserves.
"Chuck Clayton in Artistic License" by Gladir/Goldberg/Esposito/Yoshida/Grossman. Super-heroes do not always have to be males. The femal sometimes makes a better hero and in real life to. Nancy tries to bring this point across to Chuck.
"Jughead in The Abraca-Dabbler" by Doyle/Schwartz/V. DeCarlo. Jughead makes for one tricky magician. He knows how to make food appear and disappear. He does so in an entertaining manner.
"Linebacker Larceny" by Doyle/Goldberg/Lapick/Yoshida/Grossman. One small guy in the game of football can make a difference. So can one big guy in the form of Moose.
"Archie in Shock & Roll" with Script & Pencils by Tim Kennedy, Inks Jon D'Agostino, Colors Barry Grossman and Letters Jack Morelli. Archie is illustrated putting on some interesting dance moves. In a contest though they do help to make him stand out.
Archie is a great character a teenager you will just love.
