Comments: Fifteen year old Detective Dayoung Johansson makes a spectacular entrance. She is drawn as a cute beauty who knows what she is doing.
Dayoung looks amazing in her futuristic police uniform. Once she is in the past since she is a cop she wants to help out the local police. Her personality comes out as she takes charge.
This little teenage girl can and does handle herself well. She is not one to be messed with.
Dayoung also has a jet pack and can fly. We get to see how much she enjoys that.
Dayoung is here to save the future. Changes in time were made that should not have been.
Dyoung is a fresh young character illustrated wonderfully and she is a kick butt girl ready to go into action.

Comments: Two scientists Annie and Ryder and Dyoung are hanging out in the scientists apartment. She is from the future to save the past. By doing so her future will not exist.
The art is super cute especially on Dayoung the Rocket Girl. She gets involved in a robbery, she may not exactly be poetry in motion but she is sure exciting to watch in action. Her attitude is more mature than her fifteen years.
Dayoung's gun is a stunningly drawn weapon. Her freckles are the perfect touch to her appearance. It gives her a youthful appeal.
If you were a teen this is the adventure you would want to go on. You would also want to have Rocket Girl along for the ride of a life time.

Comments: Dayoung is one cute girl, one with a fiery temper to. She is drawn so cute though this teen cop its hard to believe she is a hard nosed cop from the future.
We get a look at how Dayoung gets to the past here. She had some help.
There is some action as Dayoung escapes from police custody. The police in the present are not as cool as what she is used to or as young. Her police force is made up of younger people.
More action would have been nice and learning more about Dayoung would have been great.
Now we see that a threat from her time will be a threat in this time.
If you like a butt kicking cute as hell police officer with determination you will love this.

Comments: Two Quintum Mechanics Enforcers from the future attack Detective Dayoung Johansson and Dayoung takes the fight underground into the subway. Its cute as she flies past people waiting for the subway. Than things get exciting as the chase is on. The Enforcers close in.
Dayoung is outgunned and out powered. She is smart though and tricky. Of course throughout her battle Dayoung just looks so cute.
The flipping back and forth from future to present day makes it so both parts are to short. The future part as well needs to explain better what is going on.
The suit her police uniform on Rocket Girl is a work of art. Than add in she is only fifteen years old. Plus she is one cute girl makes for one terrific character.

Comments: The citizens of New York here admire Rocket Girl and help her out when she needs it.
Dayoung is a cute girl cop of sixteen years old from the future. She is drawn gorgeous in her uniform and also really cute in her underwear,
More action was needed this issue. It would have been nice to see Rocket Girl using her rockets.
Dayoung does have a cute personality. She is a cop yes but also a teenager. She knows how to act responsibly and shows maturity. She is though at heart a teen. One you will come to care about.

Comments: In the future 2013 Detective Dayoung Johansson of the New York Teen Police Department looks awesome in her futuristic uniform. She is also illustrated as one cute teen girl.
Now in her time the Rocket Cops as her and other teen police are referred to are thought of as not real police officers. Dayoung though is shown with some nice moves.
In the present 1986 Dayoung is trying to figure out what to do.
This issue does not explain much and there is little action other than two women slapping each other around. The best part is the art illustrating the cute Dayoung.
The next issue pin-up page has Dayoung in regular clothes looking gorgeous. Cutest teen ever with some sexual appeal.

Comments: Dayoung and Annie go and get Dayoung's rocket pack back. Dayoung suits up and Rocket Girl is ready to fly. Dayoung is illustrated so cute she looks adorable. She does not look like how you might picture a future police officer.
Our glimpse at the present which is really the future from our present is kind of cute. The Police Commissioner is a young teen boy. The police in this era are not taken completely seriously.
Rocket Girl in the past which is our present is so beautifully drawn as she soars above the city.
Rocket Girl will have you loving her character. She is a young teen who knows what she wants out of life and how to go about doing it.
Now in the present which is our future Rocket Girl's actions in our present, her past have brought about unexpected consequences.
Rocket Girl is filled with excitement. This girl is a jetpack of super fuel action ready to explode off the page at you.

Comments: The art will grab you as it has a way of standing out. Rocket Girl in her white uniform can not be missed. Dayoung has one cutely drawn face to. Dayoung is illustrated flying she looks so natural going by the buildings.
In the future the Major and his employees come across as not to in charge. The corporation Quintum Mechanics is in charge. The art here is messy.
Back in 1986 the present Rocket Girl seems to be almost losing it as she tells her friends what she wants. Quintum Mechanics has to go down now. Her friends though have another way. What a way it is.
Rocket Girl is so serious in this issue, she needs to relax. She is a girl with a rocket pack after all. She does have the fate of the future in her hands though. Will she save the future?

Title: Rocket Girl # 9

Writer: Brandon Montclare
Artist: Amy Reeder
Price: $ 3.99 US
Rating: 2 out of 5 stars

Comments: Rocket Girl gets lured to a trap but outsmarts the two cops there. With her suit and jet pack she is hard to handle and catch.
Dayoung has a amazingly designed suit. For a teen cop she looks cute yet professional. Dayoung uses her head when she attacks another cop.
The story when Dayoung is not the focus makes little sense as to what is going on. Nothing is explained.
The art does not have much of a chance to show off Rocket Girl but the few times it does she is amazing. When she is flying it is not a sight you want to miss. Unfortunately that only happened a few times this issue. Dayoung's character even though she is a teen still she is a tough cop.
The issue needed more action and a direction to go in. Even the best character if not used properly is just wasted.
