I once interviewed William F. Nolan about Logan's Run: Last Day.
I just finished reading Omnibus edition. Full story consists of six issues plus bonus features. I recall reading Logan's Run novel several summers ago. I also saw movie about book on DVD.
Story is futuristic. Mankind has nearly died from nuclear radiation poisoning. The way the humans have survived is to live only until 21. After that stage radiation will cause terrible death. I liked the concept. It was still hard to see way society cleaned itself from people over 21. I thought Omnibus did great job adapting characters from book. Logan 6, Jessica, The Cubs, Ballard. Many other things were also discussed like Sanctuary and The Thinker. I felt Paul Salamoff did excellent job writing script for Logan's Run: Last Day. I wondered what would occur when Logan 6 decided to Run on Last Day. This was when he turned 21. This idea went against his society upbringing. He was trained to hunt down runners. There were limited food sources. This is another reason why only lived to 21.
I did notice that there seemed to be artist change on issues 5 and 6.
I would suggest watching Logan's Run DVD or reading novel. I also recall there was Logan's Run comic book series from Marvel Comics. I think this was back in 1970's.
This new series for Omnibus was created recently from Bluewater Productions.
