Collected edition features both issues of 2 issue mini-series. It also includes several pages of bonus features. Ed Migliocetti ( Lou Ferrigno)had career as football player. He put all that away to join military. He became war hero.
He than enlisted in Enhanced Abilities Initiative. He had armor put into his body. His strength was increased by 311% He asked why others were not turned into fighting machines. He was told that no one else survived operation. I do not know if Ed had any healing factors. He became a superhero joining fight with Sidewinder, Volt and GAIA.
He wrote novel called "Setting the Record Straight." Many missions given were not helpful to existing governments in foreign countries.
They were some difficult scenes between Ed and his adult daughter Sonya. Liberator thought he was making right decisions following orders. The group was involved with assassinations and overthrowing leaderships. They thought were making right decisions. American people treated them with little respect when came home from war. Ed Migliocetti even spent 10 years in jail. It was hard to see hero go to such low levels of despair. Through out it all he tried to keep in touch with Sonya. He tried to regain his reputation as hero. He tried to set the record straight through talking to media. Many did not want him to tell his side of story about time in armed forces.
How this is all resolved can be read in collected edition.
This comic book collected edition is based on "The Liberator Movie."
