Comments: Mal, Molly, April, Ripley and Jo make up the Lumberjanes. These girls get to battle a group of sorta foxes and using sticks and skill they beat them off.
The art style is cartonnish for this type of story and the characters it fits.
A Bear Woman figures into this story to somehow.
Rosie is the camp leader and she seems to know more than she is letting on. She is a great person but mysterious. The five Lumberjanes are best friends and stick together.
There is a mystery here as this camp is more than your ordinary camp for young girls. A Lumberjanes is like a Girl Scout.
This comic is perfect for any young girls and anyone at all of any gender and age to enjoy.

Comments: A canoeing trip down the river starts the Lumberjanes off with a camp guide. They can even earn a badge for Naval Gauging. It is a nice easy canoe trip down river. Than they hit the rapids. All hell breaks loose.
The girls do end up having one wild and outlandish adventure. Their adventure is the stuff of imagination. They see a lighthouse along the river and than enter a cave. What waits within is more adventure for these young explorers.
This is a fun exciting adventure that any young girl would love and enjoy. It can also be enjoyed by anyone of any age or gender.

Comments: The girls are trapped in a tunnel and the only chance of a way out is to go further down.
Now in the tunnel way down there the girls encounter a living statue. April must defeat it in a test of strength. A arm wrestling match. Than the excitement really starts.
The girls ever have a fastball special. Yes borrowed from that famous mutant team.
The girls brawn and brains are both tested here.
The art is cute. The girls are pictured as excitable.
This comic is great for young readers and even older ones. Anyone who enjoys a young fun adventure full of excitement will have fun with this comic.

Comments: The girls are out hiking with their counselor. They meet up with their counter parts but males. They also meet up with a big hairy creature.
These girls do love adventure and it seems to always find them.
The boys camp director is something else. He is over the top manliness. His right arm a few times is illustrated about twice as big as it really should be.
The girls are just ordinary girls who have vivid imaginations. They love hanging out together and getting into mischief.
The art is done in a cool fun style that is perfect for young girls and really anyone.
Have you ever wondered what a Yeti is really like. Well keep wondering.
There is so much danger this issue and so many villains. The excitement and thrills are building and the girls face danger at every turn. They are having the adventure of a life time.

Comments: Well the girls are just enjoying their morning at camp well actually they get bored fast. Having just high energy and investigative girls making friendship bracelets will not keep their interest. This issue does fully explain how to make friendship bracelets. It is explained in a nice easy to follow fashion.
The girls do seem to be a magnet for attracting the unusual and dangerous.
The art is cute and yes for a younger audience. It is colorful and well done. Some nice expressions are given to the characters.
This issue has one surprise that will surprise you. Its about a cute raccoon hat.
Now where else but here could you see dinosaurs attacking camp girls for no reason at all. Other than maybe you are tasty treats.
The ending here will leave you stunned.

Comments: The girls are playing a friendly game of Flag. Well the game does get competitive and more serious.
The girls are having an adventure and lots of fun. Now mix in a few Gods and Goddesses and things get even more interesting.
This is a fun all ages read that the young will enjoy and the young at heart.
The art is cute and colorful. Its fun as are the girls. These girls may face danger but they do it as friends. They all care about each other. Their companionship is of the most importance to them all, they are the Lumberjanes.

Comments: The Lumberjanes are always up to something. The art is so beautiful, the characters stand out, the colors are rich and full, nice out lines. The art is just wonderful to look at.
The Lumberjanes combine a magic crystal and a golden eye which results in one beautiful creature coming to life.
Now this issue has Artemis and Apollo both wants all of Zeus's power.
The girls and there camp adviser do have fun on their adventures. Lightning bugs do look cool and can also be dangerous.
Jo shows her courage and pays a price for it. She believes in friendship first and foremost.
This is one exciting adventure for all ages. It will thrill you and chill you.

Comments: The girls are in trouble and Jo is made of rock.
Now Artemis and Apollo are twin sister and brother and they are in a battle to see who gets the power. Their fighting is juvenile and illustrated as such. A younger read will enjoy it and so will any adult that has had to deal with children.
The life these girls lead is weird and adventurous. They get into trouble in all sorts of situations that you will not believe. They also have fun in the exciting adventures.
Ripley now this girl knows how to have fun. She may be the smallest member of the group but she is also one ball of pure excitement.
For young fun adventure this is the place to be.

Comments: The Lumberjanes are telling ghost stories around a camp fire.
"Wrong Number" is illustrated by Aimee Fleck. This tale is not that scary at all.
"Ghost Girl" is written & illustrated by Faith Erin Hicks with colors by Maarta Laiho. Now the Victorian setting is nice and the story does go where you expect it to.
"Bad Candy" is illustrated by Becca Tobin. A lesson is given here do not eat strange candy no matter how good it smells and looks. The colors are vibrant and the art psychedelic.
"Lonely Road" is illustrated by Carolyn Nowak. This story has suspense but no killer ending.
"Tailypo" is illustrated by Felicia Choo. This tale is actually scar. It does keep you reading and looking out for it.
"Old Betty" is illustrated by T. Zyak. Now this ghost story is the best of all it gets your blood pumping. The art is subdued and the colors to which fit the story.
One last story has the girls jumping and running scared. Yep they sure are brave girls. Well imagination can be the scariest of all.

Comments: The campers get a free day. The girls do start out enjoying their day.
Mal and Mol are on a picnic when Mal says she misses her real life friends as in she does not think of those at camp as being her real friends. It is a very hurtful thing to say. The showing of emotion on Mol is subtle but it really gets the point across on how much she was hurt. Than its off on an adventure.
Meanwhile the rest of the girls are looking at earning some lack badges. They are really lame. They finally do pick one.
Mal and Mol are having one weird adventure all on their own. Who knew what could be inside an outhouse well besides the obvious. It does get strange inside one here.
These girls just cannot avoid the weird and strange plus excitement follows them everywhere.

Comments: Mal and Molly are trapped in a lost world. Mal is having a hard time with the weird situation they are in. Dinosaurs, weird plants and a shape changing bear lady make this place super strange.
Meanwhile the other girls are earning a new badge, Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fondant badge.
Now the girls in a lost world have a quest to perform and they will be facing danger at every turn. The girls do have fun.
Where else can you see a pterodactyl playing solitary. This comic series delivers the unexpected and in an all ages format that any one or any age can enjoy.
These Lumberjanes are something special.

Comments: Mal and Molly show they have what it takes to survive in the magical savage land they are trapped in. Mal though has a plan.
Meanwhile back at camp the girls realize its better sometimes to just have fun rather than always competing.
Mal and Molly along with the Bear Woman make a break for freedom as dinosaurs chase them. It is exciting as the danger mounts.
The art is done in a style for all ages. So it is cute.
These girls know how to have fun and enjoy themselves. They make terrific role models especially for young girls.

Comments: This issues shows when the girls arrived at camp. It also shows their parents and families dropping them off. This is the girls first day at camp.
The first day and their adventures already begin. A stolen unicorn leads to so much more. The scenery gives you an indication that this series will be full of adventures.
The girls may be just girls but they are friends and Lumberjanes. These girls show that they can handle anything. Well for young girls that is who happen to get involved in the most wondrous adventures imaginable.

Comments: The girls are going to camp outside for one night. Now it is the middle of summer so what is with the snow, yes snow.
Some dangerous wolf/moose type creatures show up in the snowy weather. They are illustrated as menaces animals.
Jen lost in the snow storm is found by Abigail a hunter of abnormal creatures that feed on human flesh. She does have quite a trophy room.
Abigail is a new character and she has a mysterious past and present as well. Is she good or bad?
The Lumberjanes do seem to get into the most outrageously wonderful and dangerous adventures you are ever to see.

Comments: The Lumberjanes are out on an adventure in the frozen woods. Meanwhile Jen their camp counselor is in a private library. She is all nice and warm and cozy.
A former Lumberjane has gone rogue and she needs to be stopped. She is a danger to all around her and to many peace loving beasts. Abigail is not playing with a full deck and she has a hate on for Rosie.
This issue focuses more on the camp leaders than on the girls. The girls though still manage to have fun playing with some wild beasts that turn out to not be so wild as one might think.
The art is gorgeous in its unique style that fits in perfectly with the storytelling here.
The secrets and mysteries herein are things that will pull you back as well.

Comments: We get a look into the past and some of the teachers when they were much younger and going to Miss Quinzella Thiskwin Penniquiqul Thistle Crumpet's Camp for Young Ladies. We also learn about the Grootslang.
Abigail a former Lumberjane is now a monster hunter. She wants to hunt and kill the Grootslang. She also has to be stopped.
The art has its own unique style. It is perfect for the story and characters.
Now half way through the story when the Lumberjanes and their camp counselor are all staying safe and out of danger you just have to laugh out loud cause you know there is no way that is not going to change fast.
The Lumberjanes spunk and get go attitude make them so much fun to see.
The Grootslang when it appears is a terrifying sight. It is an ancient evil that Abigail has now awoken and unleashed.
This issue has action a plenty and lots of attitude. You are going to just love these Lumberjanes.

Comments: Amazing art showing the kids and Jen their camp counselor having fun. Jen does enjoy driving in a crazy insane way.
They must be ready for the Gootslang. It is a huge monstrous creature that
Abigail is out fighting the Grootslang attempting to kill it. Rosey is there to protect Abigail from herself. She needs it to.
Jo gets over her jealousy and her and Barney (not the dinosaur) become friends.
The Lumberjanes do have a fun and wild adventure. They also learn that the area where their camp is is even more mysterious than they thought. These stories are filled with weird stuff but it may just be the Lumberjanes who are the weirdest of all.

Comments: The art is really different than the other issues. It is simple and plain. The girls are just enjoying an ordinary day relaxing. It does not last long.
The Lumberjanes are found by mermaids and they need the Lumberjanes help whether they admit it or not.
The story moves along quickly just not a lot seems to be happening. A bit more excitement would have been nice.
The Lumberjanes are always doing what is right. So they are going to mend a broken friendship. Of course it does have to have a weird side to it so mermaids and sea serpents appear.
The girls are never going to have a normal day.

Comments: April is going diving in a suit Jo made. Now reading some mermaid books has apparently made her an expert at least in her mind on diving.
It is funny as Mal points out about how would a band play underwater. Or even how would mermaids play tapes. A cassette tape they are behind the times.
April's visit to the mermaids is eventful. April does really create a lot of chaos. The rest of the group of Lumberjanes basicly are jus left sitting around.
You will also wonder at Moly and Mal's relationship. Does Molly want them to be more than just friends?
The Lumberjanes always have such exciting adventures.

Comments: April's help has lead to all out disaster. April gets a well deserved talking to by her friend about priorities. She is not the only one that matters and needs to know that.
The Lumberjanes definitely show us all what true friendship is all about. It is a nice emotional moment.
Well the band splits up and a new improved one is formed.
The art is fun looking. The Sea Serpents are not really scary. The mermaids are drawn and treated almost like humans.
The mermaids put on a concert that is well received by all. It is great to have a ending like this. The girls deserve it.

Comments: The girls try to earn a badge, how to tie boat knots. Now to get this badge the girls have to work as a team.
Here we meet Seafarin' Karen.Selkies the seal people have Seafarin' Karen's boat.
The art is so beautifully done for this type of story. It fits for the all ages approach this comic is done in.
This story is into changlins. Yes there are different kinds to. They all have attitudes. One thing else they have in common they all think they are right.
The Lumberjanes all five of them are focused on helping Seafarin' Karen. Things may at first seem cut and dried but perhaps they are not. The story has you wondering are there any villains in this story?
Bears, wolves and seals oh my!

Comments: Ok this story has something never seen before a werewolf singing a sea shanty about Lumberjanes. Bet you never thought you would see that.
Now the Lumberjanes are split on two different teams and each with a magical changeling.
Things do get rough on the sea but both sides realize that maybe they are not facing the enemy.
The story could have used more excitement. More happening would have made sense. A lot of the time is spent talking and standing around. Plus subjects like Mal caring about Molly as more than just a friend are glossed over and Jo's fear of water.
The talk of team work would be more suited if the team were together.
The art is great for this style of comic. The changelings are cute.
The Lumberjanes are a group who can teach you a few things.

Comments: There is a huge storm letting loose and Seafarin' Karen along with Jo, April, Mal and a few seal people, Selkies are out in the middle of it at ocean.
Molly and Ripley meanwhile are in a forest that combines different times.
All the Lumberjanes though are drawn together by this storm and the portals.
There is lots of action going on as the Lumberjanes and their friends are in trouble. The story though needed to focus more on the characters. Yes by this time if you have been following the series you know them. Still though what makes them sp great are their individual personalities.
It is always a pleasure to watch the Lumberjanes in action.

Comments: It's Lumberjanes and Selkies and Ripley and Molly have come to rescue them.
Ripley gives a recap of how she got there and her adventure was amazing. Just see the last issue for it.
Nicely illustrated lightning storm adds excitement to this story.
The Lumberjanes, the werewolf and Selkies all show what it means to be a friend. Friendship is worth so much.
Seeing Molly kissing her fellow Lumberjane and girlfriend is a nice touch. Yes it is a lesbian kiss between underaged girls but it is done subtile and with true love.
These girls do have the wildest and strangest magical adventures you are likely to ever see.

Comments: The Lumberjanes are up to something. They all look so cute. The is gorgeously done and colored to perfection. The something is kittens aw cute girls and cute kittens.
Its mail call time for the Lumberjanes. Molly gets some news that leaves her looking worried. The Camp Councilors also get some news. It is evaluation time. The women of the Grand Lodge are coming.
Those cute kittens you have to see what happens with them to believe it. Really you do. This is mindblowing.
The women of the Grand Lodge arrive. Things do go pretty much as expected. The adventure continues.
"And Your Bird Can Sing" is written by Chynna Clugston Flores, illustrated by Laura Lewis & Mad Rupert, colors by Maarta Laiho and letters by Warren Montgomery.
The art here is very simple. The pond in the forest is illustrated lovely. The letter certainly gets a workout here as this story is very wordy.
The Lumberjanes are out on a hike in the woods. They do find a mystery there. A bird boy who lives underwater provides lots of fun here and some romance.
The Lumberjanes will give you more adventure than you can handle and than some.

Comments: The art is nice and cute. The setting a camp which is simply illustrated.
Jen the Counselor takes control with Rosie gone. The Lumberjanes and Jen are off to rescue Rosie. Yes on a moose named Jeremy.
Things are always weird with the Lumberjanes this story starts off with kittens running free and a giant bird flying off. Now riding a moose how do you top that well they do get another ride as well.
This time around the Lumberjanes have a couple of others joining them on their strange adventure.
The giant bird is unlike any other bird or creature you have ever seen.
The Lumberjanes are a tight knit group of young girls that find themselves involved in the strangest and weirdest adventures that these girls will ever see and that you will to.

Comments: The art here is way to cartoon style. This art is definitely for a younger audience. It is not meant for adults but only young children. The art does improve as the comic goes on.
The Lumberjanes and some old ladies are going to fight a Roc a giant bird. The Lumberjanes need a plan and they have kittens with powers to help that plan. Cute little kittens that can be so disruptive.
The Lumberjanes come up with a plan to take care of the Roc. This Roc is not evil its only in love.
The Lumberjanes even with magical kittens and a giant bird do not have much going on. This issue is boring.
The characters are all great it is just they are not used well enough.

Comments: The Lumberjanes and the Roanokes they get a plan and it is a wild one. By working together and with the magical cats they can do it.
Yes love is in the air. With a well executed plan and magic kitties the girls do carry out their plan to perfection. Especially with the help of one huge cat.
The art has the color on some of the girls skin being done way to light it is like they are albinos.
Something happens here that is completely unexpected. Overall though the issue is tame with not a lot happening.
The ending does end well for all involved but also sets up next issue. The thrills are still coming.

Comments: April is up early. As she gets the rest up and on their way to breakfast of course an adventure presents itself. Their friends have been attacked and they must save them.
April is drawn with wonderful expressions.
A gorgon has escaped and is on the loose. The Lumberjanes and Diana will have to set aside their differences and work together.
Ripley and Mal have a nice mature talk about families. How they are different for everyone.
The Lumberjanes could not be illustrated any better. They have a cartoon look while still coming across as real.
The adventures these girls have are out of this world. They are magical.
The Gorgon looks how you might expect. Her snakes are not all that scary.
What makes this comic so great though is the friendship you get to see among the Lumberjanes.

Comments: Mal and Ripley are missing. So the rest of the Lumberjanes are given a key to the always locked Peculiar Situations Weapons Cabinet. There is a Gorgon on the loose and they are going hunting.
The Gorgon's name is Ligo. Diane one of the Lumberjanes is really the Goddess Artemis.
The art is great showing off all the characters and the monstrous and Greek mythology ones to.
The girls while searching realize a value lesson. That you should be who you are and not try to be someone else or let others try to make you into something you are not.
Molly shooting her bow and arrow does so wrong. She actually has the arrow below her hand that holds the bow. That is just so wrong to hold it that way. The artist should have researched how to properly use a bow.
The girls are left in one cliffhanger situation that will draw you back to see what happens.

Comments: The Lumberjanes are fighting against two giant birds.
Now this issue focuses on the Lumberjanes and their counselor bonding through sharing information about their families. Even Diane who is a Goddess.
A Goddess, a Gorgon, a counselor, plus a bunch of young girls are on this wild adventure. Only trouble is other than the birds chasing them it is pretty tame. The bird scenes are to short as well.
The art is good and the Lumberjanes look as cute as ever. It is just more action and more anything was needed. There was to much just standing around.
The girls are great and the magical beings they meet are wonderful to behold.

Comments: The girls are inside a building and playing games to progress. The girls using teamwork keep going onward.
Diane's dad who is the god Zeus looking silly when he shows up. He wants to control his daughter. He even came up with a plan to do so.
This issue is all about friendship. The story though flies by so quickly with not a lot happening. The girls do get through the building but the games and traps are not all that exciting or really challenging.
It is still great to see teamwork. The Lumberjanes are all about helping each other.

Comments: Diane gets to stay at camp but without any of her magical godly powers. So of course she and her fellow camp mates bend the rules and go magical artifact hunting.
At Apollo's cabin Diane and her friends encounter a deadly trap. One of them almost does not make it.
Diane starts acting all weird as they search for magical artifacts.
Ok this story takes one totally unexpected turn.
The Lumberjanes are barely in this issue and the comic needs them in it. The focus on Diane and other kids is done ok but they are not the Lumberjanes.
Diane herself does make for an awesome camper. Having a goddess is exciting.

Comments: The Lumberjanes are hard at work so they deserve an ice cream break. Which turns out to be anything but normal. Yeti's and Sasquatches get involved and their use of electricity. Who gets to use the plug in. Its a strange tale. The Lumberjanes do have the wildest weirdest adventures ever.
The Lumberjanes while exploring the woods find a Roller Derby track yes in the deep woods. Anything can happen with them and does. You will not believe what is set up here. Its going to be a Roller Derby match unlike anything you have ever seen or will see again.
The art is so cute. The girls and the creatures both look amazing.
This comic series is all ages but for sure anyone can and should enjoy it.

Comments: A roller derby game against Sasquatches for a Yeti's home as the prize. Bet you never thought you would see that. It does set up a fun story.
The Lumberjanes do get in some practice. For the most part they need it.
The day of the game the Rumblejanes yes cute word play on Lumberjanes. The game gets underway and the Rumblejames are off to a good start.
Meanwhile something strange and mysterious is about to happen.
The Lumberjanes no matter what they are doing always seem to have fun. Plus they always learn something new. You get to see them growing not only in body but in mind.

Comments: The roller derby game is on its the Sas-Squashers vs the Rumblejanes. The game is not overly exciting. Than things change up as death traps are added to the track. It does not really make the game anymore exciting though.
Things turn out pretty much how you would expect them to.
The track of death is a let down. Even having a ring of fire on it does not make it thrilling. Better faster paced writing and better more fast paced looking art was needed.
The Lumberjanes are still shown as the coolest friends ever. These girls are something special in this area of the world in this campground where so many unexplained things and creatures seem to turn up.

Comments: It is the parents day to come visit camp. The kids are worried about it. How would the parents react to all the strange stuff that goes on if they see it.
The parents are all wonderful people.
The art cartoonie. It is not as defined as it should be.
The girls and their parents have a wonderful time around camp. It is great to see they have such a great relationship. All but Molly who's parents could not make it.
April and Ripley start a competition with each other for one weird prize. Both love it and want it. May the best girl win, next issue. Now you have to come back to find out who wins.
Lumberjanes do rule this camp and their parents rock.
