Comments: Lucas is just an ordinary guy. Well except for the fact he is the Human-Lizard. The costume design is pretty cool.
The Human-Lizard is not a flashy hero, he looks out for the common people.
Now he actually gets a super power this issue. It is a cool one.
Lucas is not big muscled, he cannot fly, he is no genus but he is a hero, Toronto's own. The Human-Lizard is a Canadian super-hero.
As Lucas goes out it just so happens that a behemoth of a creature appears. Mother Wonder another Toronto based super-hero and the Human-Lizard does admire her. He should to being a super-hero and a mother to that would keep anyone super busy.
Huge monsters are mysteriously appearing in Toronto.
A new super villain challenges the Human-Lizard. They do get into one battle royal that is sure to have your attention. It is a knock down drag out fight.
It is so wonderful to see how the Human-Lizard is received by the children of Toronto, Canada.
This is a new super-hero one who is a common man and who stands for whats right. Lucas is easy to identify with.
The Human-Lizard is a hero Canada can be proud of.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Comments: Lucas is a guy just dealing with life. He may be a super-hero to but he is shown as your ordinary everyday guy. Here he is trying online dating. We see how anxious he is waiting for a reply. Yes he is just like you or me.
Even while taking down a bad guy Lucas is still focused on getting a date.
The art of Lucas as the Human-Lizard is wonderful. He does definitely look the part of a hero. Otherwise the art is a little plain.
Lucas comes across as such a great guy. This is a guy you would love to have as a friend.
He gets to fight Beetle Vikings, yes really he does. Go buy the comic and see for yourself. Beetle Vikings just thinking about it makes one laugh. Plus they are mutants so its Mutant Beetle Vikings so cool.
Next he faces Malevolence. He stands a chance against the Human -Lizard but the Human-Lizard's date well that is another story. Will we see Lady Accidental in future issues, lets hope so she looks to be another great character.
The best part about this comic is Lucas he is so likable.; He is a ordinary guy doing the extraordinary.

Title: Pitiful Human-Lizard # 3
Publisher: Chapter House Comics
Creator/Story/Art: Jason Loo
Price: $ 4.99 US
Rating: 5 out of 5 stars
Websites: www.chapterhousecomics.ca , www.facebook.com/pitifulhumanlizard
Comments: Lucas has lunch with his parents. He is portrayed as a normal guy. He has a nine to five job and overprotective parents. He could be you or me, only he is also the superhero the Human-Lizard.
This issue we get a look at Mother Wonder another super-hero. She may be the most popular and powerful superhero in Toronto but she is still a wife and mother. Yes she is shown here as all of those. It is also easy to tell she is just a person same as anyone else.
With two super-heroes onhand of course we get a team-up. Together they take on a huge monstrous creature. Lucas does great and he knows it. It is so wonderful to see him in action and succeeding. He comes across as an underdog so you are always rooting for him. When he succeeds and is happy it makes you feel happy too.
The story than focuses on "Barb" who is Ms. Martins a fourth grade teacher. Barb does have powers. It is so great following her process of thinking as she considers becoming a super-hero. You just know she is going to be one. She is a little jealous of the Human-Lizard. She will definitely be playing a major part in coming issues and you will definitely be wanting to see more of her.
This comic is amazing in how it portrays Lucas and other super-heroes. You are brought into their lives and get to see them as people not just super-heroes but as real people.

Title: Pitiful Human-Lizard # 4
Publisher: Chapter House Comics
Creator/Story/Art: Jason Loo
Price: $ 4.99 US
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
Websites: www.chapterhousecomics.ca , www.facebook.com/pitifulhumanlizard
Comments: Lucas Barrett is the Human-Lizard. One of his friends is the Majestic Rat. Now they get a mystery to solve finding two missing rats.
Meanwhile two huge mutant slime spitting rats are attacking people in the park.
Meanwhile the Terrorno Grrls two girls dressed up like dinosaurs with really shark claws show up to beat up our two heroes. These two girls are something else.
Majestic Rat may come across as lame but he has a whole army of rats at his command.
This was a pretty good team-up. Toronto, Ontario, Canada certainly does have some weird super-heroes. They are so much fun to watch in action though.
Lucas is a wonderful guy and so normal besides the whole Human-Lizard thing.
The back-up story features Barb in "The Electrical Pawn of Peepers." Lady Accident goes after Eaton Peepers or is it the other way around. Lady Accident gets into some action. She is one confident woman.
The super-heroes here are presented as human beings. They could be you or me. This makes them so easy to connect with.

Comments: Lucas Barrett is the Human-Lizard and his friend is Majestic Rat. Also in this city are the super-heroes Mother Wonder and Lady Accident.
The villains this issue have banded together Terrorno Grrls', Pete Bench, Bodyrocks all lead by Eaton Peepers. Together they are the Frustrated Four. Yes a play on the Fantastic Four.
Now the heroes and villains in this series are just ordinary people and you do get a look at that. Especially with the heroes.
Mother Wonder you peek in on her home life. She is a wonder mother so her name does fit perfectly.
The villains attack and with robots as well. So we have a free-for-all. The four heroes do work well enough together.
After the battle the girls go their own way while Human-Liard and Majestic Rat hang out. They at least are friends. The dynamics of these heroes is something you rarely see.
Grizzly Biker in "Monster Conspiracist" Story/Art by Jason Loo. This Grizzly Biker is exactly what he sounds like. This is a unlikely hero. We also catch a glimpse of the Mississauga Marauder she is a cute tough blonde on two wheels.

Title: Pitiful Human-Lizard # 6

Creator/Story/Art: Jason Loo
Color Assists: Rachel Richey
Price: $ 4.99 US
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
Websites: www.chapterhousecomics.ca , www.facebook.com/pitifulhumanlizard
Comments: Lucas Barrett aka the Human-Lizard is spending a day with his parents. He just hangs out doing normal stuff because he is a normal guy first and foremost.
Than the Sea Paladin appears. The Human-Lizard handles this situation in a unique way. He uses common sense. The Human-Lizard is unlike any other super-hero you have ever seen. He is a person who is easy to sympathize with. This is a guy who could be you.
The art is terrific it shows off the characters in everyday life and also showcases them as heroes.
"Shopping for Trouble." Lady Accident gets into action here with a pink morphing creature. Mother Wonder puts in an appearance as well. These Toronto babes make a great tag team.
Canada super-heroes rule! At least as long as their mother is ok with it.

Title: Pitiful Human-Lizard # 7
Publisher: Chapter House Comics
Creator/Story/Art: Jason Loo
Color Assists: Rachel Richey
Price: $ 4.99 US
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
Websites: www.chapterhousecomics.ca , www.facebook.com/pitifulhumanlizard
Comments: The Human-Lizard aka Lucas Barrett finds himself in a battle with a giant Pokemon. The poor guy never gets a break. He fights crime for fun and cause he just wants to help and protect others.
He ends up in Mississauga and there are a lot of disrespectful people there. He does make it home. It is fun to watch the trials he goes through that most ordinary super-heroes would not have to.
We get a look at Jubilation Ray here Mississauga's super-hero. He can create fireworks from his hands. Yes a clear copy of Jubilation Lee from the X-Men.
Spectra Peacock puts in a brief appearance being a super-hero can mean having a super ex for Jubilation Ray.
The Human-Lizard is shown here as being human. He has all the same problems a normal person has. Getting enough sleep, going to work on time. Yes this makes him easy to identify with. He is a hero for the common man.
"The Mississauga Marauder" by Adam Gorham and Greg Harms. She patrols the 427 to the Peace Bridge. You break the rules of the road and she will met out justice. This is a cool down to earth super-hero. She has an edge to her that says do not mess with me.

Title: Pitiful Human-Lizard # 8
Publisher: Chapter House Comics
Story: Fred Kennedy
Art: Jason Loo
Color Assists: Rachel Richey
Price: $ 4.99 US
Rating: 2 out of 5 stars
Websites: www.chapterhousecomics.ca , www.facebook.com/pitifulhumanlizard
Comments: Gull Girl is illustrated in boring colors. Even her hands make out of gulls barely stand out. This villain roughs up a jock and steals a piece of vodka watermelon. Wow she is so evil. Well she is not really shown evil as more annoying actually.
The Human-Lizard has his hands full battling a robot. It is a short battle. The Human-Lizard does look good in the fighting scenes.
Gull Girl does summon KaaKaa the destroyer of worlds. This creature is a let down. He seems pitiful. The fight with him, Gull Girl and the Human-Lizard needed to have more to it.
None of the characters in this issue were fully used. The Human-Lizard is a great super-hero but he was not doing enough here. The Human-Lizard is a common man's hero and that needed to be shown more here.

Title: Pitiful Human-Lizard # 9
Publisher: Chapter House Comics
Creator/Story/Art: Jason Loo
Color Assists: Rachel Richey
Price: $ 4.99 US
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
Websites: www.chapterhousecomics.ca , www.facebook.com/pitifulhumanlizard
Comments: The Terrorno Grrls attack the Human-Lizard and Lady Accident gives him a hand.
The Human-Lizard goes to school to give a talk to the kids. He is very good with the kids to. Now the Human-Lizard tells them his origin story.
The Human-Lizard is just your average guy trying to make a difference and helping out others. Plus he likes beating up bullies. He is a good guy.
Not a lot of action this issue but still one great story with great art. The Human-Lizard is a real super-hero for your average person. You can look up to him and emphasize with the every day problems he has and just his normal day to day life. Also the way he handles super villains is just fun.
"The Bear and The Rat" Story & Art by Jason Loo with Rachel Richey on colour assists. The King Rat and Grizzly Biker fight one weird creature. This story is strange yet still simple and the art definitely fits the characters.

Title: Pitiful Human-Lizard # 10
Publisher: Chapter House Comics
Creator/Story/Art: Jason Loo
Colours by: Meaghan Carter
Price: $ 4.99 US
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
Websites: www.chapterhousecomics.ca , www.facebook.com/pitifulhumanlizard
Comments: Lucas Barrett while traveling on the subway forgets his costume on it. Toni a young girl finds it. She decides to play with it. Toni also gets to play hero and likes it. It is great to see her in the Human-Lizard's partial costume.
Lucas does find the girl and it looks like maybe a new hero is born. The Lizard Skater Girl and she has the right attitude. Plus she is cute.
"The Vortex Beast" Majestic Rat and Grizzly Biker have an adventure. Majestic's date gets interrupted. He suffers a lose and you will feel for him. At the end of the day he really needs a hug. The rats purple and lime green colored are drawn so amazingly here. They just jump right out of the page at you.
The Pitiful Human-Lizard is so much more than just another super-hero comic. Within these pages you get to see the full life of a hero. Not just the heroics but the everyday stuff. Lucas is a person just like you and me.

Title: Pitiful Human-Lizard # 11
Publisher: Chapter House Comics
Creator/Story/Art: Jason Loo
Colour Assists: Meaghan Carter
Price: $ 4.99 US
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
Websites: www.chapterhousecomics.ca , www.facebook.com/pitifulhumanlizard
Comments: The Human-Lizard and Mother Wonder meet in their civilian identities. You would never know they were super-heroes seeing them in their day to day lives. Human-Lizard just looks and acts like an ordinary guy and Mother Wonder is your average mother out with her children. Lucas and Bev with her kids just take a walk in the park.
Mother Wonder tells her origin story here. Razma-Foon is a Goddess and she summoned Bev to her. She was originally called the Glowing Miracle. Bev is now a mother, a wife, a working mom, and still a hero. She is the busiest super-hero around. She does it all and Mother Wonder is still a glowing miracle.
"All New Back at it Again" The Lizard Skater Girl encounters a guy in a Mech Suit. They have a brief fight. His Mech Suit is drawn as a technological wonder but it does not do a lot.
The way super-heroes are shown as regular people in this comic makes it stand out.

Title: Pitiful Human-Lizard # 12
Publisher: Chapter House Comics
Creator/Story/Art: Jason Loo
Colourist: Meaghan Carter
Price: $ 4.99 US
Rating: 3 out of 5 stars
Websites: www.chapterhousecomics.ca , www.facebook.com/pitifulhumanlizard
Comments: Majestic Rat and Grizzly Biker have a funeral for Majestic Rat's two animal friends.
Than we get a look at the origin of Majestic Rat. He worked in a pet store. That is where he got his first rats. Which became his friends.
The Human-Lizard shows up for the funeral to. It is a nice little gathering and they all show respect for those who died.
The art is done good but there is no fighting or action.
This issue has twelve pages of advertising in the back. That's one third of the comic. It is to much.
Majestic Rat is featured this issue his powers are not the greatest but his heart is. He cares a lot and wants to help others. So he does have the signs of a true hero.

Title: Pitiful Human-Lizard # 13
Publisher: Chapter House Comics
Creator/Story/Art/Cover: Jason Loo
Colour Assists: Meaghan Carter
Price: $ 4.99 US
Rating: 3 out of 5 stars
Websites: www.chapterhousecomics.ca , www.facebook.com/pitifulhumanlizard
Comments: The Human-Lizard rides a streetcar. It is a small world as Lucas talks to the streetcar driver. Lucas sure looks beat up.
The driver Sam gives Lucas a pep talk. The other passengers stand up for the Human-Lizard which is wonderful to see. Even super-heroes need back up. No action or excitement here but we do get a sample look at the people of Toronto and how they treat their own super-hero the Human-Lizard.
The comic ends with twelve pages of ads that is way to many.
Lady Accident appears briefly she is cool. The monster she is fighting is one big red creature ready to destroy.
It is always great to see Lucas as just a guy who happens to be a super-hero. He is the Human-Lizard but still he is Lucas first and foremost. He is an everyday man that we can all identify with.
