Comments: This issue is a seventeen page lead in to the regular series.
Sheena is strong, silent and swift. She protects the Amazon jungle. She is portrayed as very superstitious which does fit in living in the jungle. The art shows her as a lithe beauty in her loin cloth outfit.
Sheena enters an ancient ruin hidden deep in the jungle. Sheena enters it to protect it. In one scene while she is inside it her hand is surrounded by a blue glow of energy and no reason is given. The illustrations of the ruins are great.
The temple ruins, the vines within it seem to attack her.
Sheena is a fighter and this story shows her in a more realistic way. She is agile and strong but not super humanly so.
This issue is a good introduction to the series to come.

Comments: Drones are being used to spy on Sheena's home. To what purpose? She is drawn with a childish face. The poses she is in do not show off her body at all. Her six pack is drawn with just straight lines across her stomach, no contour or shape to them.
Armed man invade Sheena's tribe's village. They want a surveyor that was sent out into the jungle and will kill Sheena's tribe unless she finds him.
Sheena finally is illustrated in a few good poses near the end of the comic.
The Cadwell company wants something in the jungle and will stop at nothing to get it.
Sheena is shown moving easily through the jungle.
The story needs more to it, to explain why people want Sheena's jungle. The art is lacking in some aspects. Sheena is a beauty that needs to be shown off better.
A savage girl running around the jungle in a loin cloth protecting it from intruders is always a good basis for a story.
